Hoseok - He catches you nearly kissing him

[both steamy and wholesome, but mainly wholesome]

You lie on his bed next to your best friend, Hoseok. You've always kept things platonic but you wish it was otherwise. "I can't believe we've been been friends for so long." Hoseok says.
"It's been five years now, right?" you reply.
"From junior year of high school to senior year of college." he sighs.
"I'm really grateful for you for sticking by me all this time, Hoseok." you say, looking over at him. Hearing the pillow fabric ruffle under your movement, Hoseok turns his head to face you as well. "I'm really grateful for you too, sunshine." he says.

Sunshine is his nickname for you.

"You've been my closest friend all these years, we've been through so much together and I love you for it." you say, smiling at him and a grin grows on Hoseok's face as well. "Stop it, y/n, you're making me blush with the sappy stuff." he says and you both chuckle.

Hoseok looks over at the ground where you both abandoned your textbooks to lie on the bed. "Can you believe all the fun things we used to do when we started getting close back in high school? The movies, bubble tea, roller blading.. now we just hangout to study, order-in food and nap together." he says, making you yawn. "Speaking of, I could really use a nap right now." you say.
"Me too." Hoseok chimes in, turning away from you and onto his side to face the wall. You subtly analyze his complexion, his beautiful hair that falls so nicely; looking so soft.
You wish you could hold him, kiss him, bask in his embrace.

Hoseok has given you his sweaters on cold days while he suffered in his t-shirt, brought you to fun places for new experiences, made time for you even during busy college exam weeks, and everything in-between. It all melts your heart and has made
you fall harder and harder for him with each moment you spend together.

You lean over, moving your face closer to kiss Hoseok on the cheek from behind. No, no. Nevermind. You think to yourself, quickly shutting down your feelings and plans to confess them. You lie back in bed as you previously were, staring up at the ceiling as you regret your decisions of nearly kissing him. How could I attempt such a stupid thing?

"Do it." Hoseok's voice speaks up. You sit up again in surprise, turning to look at him and realizing that Hoseok has a mirror leaning against the wall he's facing; he saw everything you did and didn't do. "Don't be shy, y/n." he says lightheartedly. You smile sheepishly, realizing you've been foolishly caught.

Hoseok turns to lie on his back, your head hovering above his. "Kiss me." he says, a light grin forming on his lips. He reaches to gently cup your face as you lean down, ceasing the opportunity; you've been waiting for this. When your lips finally touch it's as if you have waited a lifetime for this feeling in this moment, as if it's meant to be. Hoseok's lips are soft and his taste is sweet. You both have been craving this forever and now you never want to let go.
Hoseok's hands innocently explore your body, his hands trailing under your shirt and rubbing your back, then leading up to your nape where he lightly grabs it to pull your body closer to his. Slowly pulling away, you feel his lips drift along your skin to your ear, "I've wanted you for so long." he whispers.

You continue to kiss for a few minutes before you both pull away, simply lying on the bed and facing each other. "Remember how we went on that ferris wheel together?" Hoseok asks and you nod, "Yeah. First Year, fall fair. What about it?" you say.
"I leaned in to kiss you while you were looking away at the sky, but when you turned back to face me I quickly pulled away and pretended like I wasn't about to. I backed out but I wish I never did." Hoseok says, "I just thought, how could someone as perfect as her like me?" he says.
"I thought that exact same thing today!" you say and you both laugh together, admiring each other's bubbly smiles.

"Seems like you're my soulmate, sunshine." he says.
