Jirou's POV:
Denki and I were sitting on the floor playing Mortal Combat.

"Beat you again, Kyo."

"Shut up!" I said, hitting him on the shoulder.

"Ouch! Don't hit me, sore loser," he stuck his tongue out at me.

Before I could respond, I started to go into a coughing fit.

"Are you alright?" He said, putting his hand on my back.

My coughing didn't stop before I coughed up a red petal into my hands. We both looked at each other confused.

"Jirou, did you eat a flower?"

"No, you idiot."

"Then why did you just cough up a petal?"

It suddenly hit me.

"Shit," I replied examining the petal in my hand.

Out of all people, why me?

"What's wrong?"

"Hanahaki...that's what I have."

"You mean that fictional disease?"

"It's clearly not fictional if you see me going through it!" I said, my tone elevating as I grew frustrated at him and myself.

Something eerie grew within me as I had to acknowledge what I was going through.

"But wait, that means your going through unrequited love, right?"

"Yes."

"So who is it?"

I blushed and looked away from him.

"Do they know? Did you confess and get rejected? Is it me?"

"No. No. Absolutely not, and aren't you dating Shinsou?"

"Why of course, but you know with my good looks and charisma I would make anyone fall to their knees and worship me."

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah, whatever. But it's definitely not you."

"Then who is it?"

It's Momo Yaoyorozu. My best friend would be the death of me.

"I'm not telling."

He started to bombard me with questions about the person.

"Denki, would you give it up already!"

"Fine, but you're going to have to confess soon. I don't want you to die because you have some stupid crush on someone."

"Geez, I'm not going out like that."

"Then promise me you'll drop your feelings for them if they reject you."

I put my left hand on his shoulder and raised my right hand, "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."

He rolled his eyes, "Stop playing, I'm serious!"

"Okay, okay, just stop yelling. I promise."

"Good, now I'll be in my bedroom, making no noise and pretending I'm not there."

I giggled at his comment, and opened the door so he could leave. I laid on my bed and stuffed my face into my pillow. There was no sense in confessing to her because she's straight and dating Todoroki. She was never going to have feelings for me, and I didn't know how to handle my own.

...I'm sorry, Denki. I don't think I can stop loving her...
