"Seriously?" A very angry Azias greeted me as my eye lids opened. "I tell you I have some serious shit to take care of and you fucking sprain your ankle doing foolishness in the house?!"
I looked down at my sore ankle and winced a bit in pain. Last night, Rose was teaching Emily and me what I had explained to her, but when it was time for me to perform it, my hand slipped, and I fell badly onto my right foot, causing my ankle to be sprained.
"I was trying to learn some tricks for you," I explained while nervously playing with my fingers. "Why are you even back so early?" It was only Wednesday, and I remembered him planning to be back on Friday.
He grumpily replied, "One of my guards called and said you got hurt."
I blushed, "So you left work to see if I was okay?"
"Whatever," he replied before walking away.
"Can you please stay?" I asked, but he just kept on walking until he was outside of my room, and then he slammed my door. "The fuck?" I mumbled to myself. Why was he even so angry? "Azias!" I called out as I got out of bed, however, in the heat of the moment, I stepped down on my right leg and stumbled down as I cried out in pain.
My door came swinging open as Azias worriedly entered my room. He lifted me up and sighed, "I can't even leave you alone for two seconds!" He brought me outside my room and to his door, and I was surprised that he was letting me see inside.
He opened the door, revealing the beautiful master bedroom he had. He had a dark marble floor with a black fur rug near the bed. His covers were dark grey and matched his curtains. The walls were white, and his bed and dresser black. It was also very neat, which I liked because he didn't seem like the messy type.
Azias placed me on his bed to lay down after slamming his door behind us, and I flinched at the loud noise the door made.
"Why are you so angry?" I tried to talk to him.
He sighed, "I still didn't solve the situation in Cali. This is gonna delay shit even more."
"You didn't have to fly up here. It's just a sprained ankle," I pointed out.
"Kyle didn't make it seem like that when he was on the phone with me. By the time the doctor got a hold of me, I had already landed," he explained.
The fact that he so quickly found his way over here was beyond me. I found myself blushing a bit, even.
"I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but I'm glad you're here and that you got here so quickly," I stated, and he gave a nod before sighing.
"Why were you practicing a dance anyways?" He frowned. "I told you to take Friday off."
"I also dance for you on Saturday and Sunday though," I pointed out. "I wanted to have my dance prepared for then. I didn't anticipate getting hurt or distracting you from whatever you have going on in Cali," I sincerely explained.
He sighed and nodded while laying down beside me. He then pulled half of my body onto his and cuddled me into his chest. "Im sorry for yelling at you," he apologized with sincerity in his voice and eyes. "Shit's just really going bad, and I don't know what to do to fix it. My anger isn't really for you."
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I offered, wanting to help him relieve some stress.
His lips parted to speak, but then he hesitated and shook his head instead. "What you been up to since I left?"
"Besides spraining my ankle?" I joked, and he cracked a faint smile. "I'm glad you're here."
"Yeah?" he asked while staring dreamily into my eyes. I bit my bottom lip while nodding in response, and he licked his lips and pulled me in closer. "Me too." He cupped my cheek, and I released my lip from the hold my teeth had on it as he leaned in. My eyes fluttered close as I, too, leaned in, and I felt my breath hitching in my throat. Our lips connected, and I felt my stomach sink. It was just a smooch, but it left me feeling both excited and scared. As if sensing my nervousness, Azias asked, "You okay?"
I let out a nervous sigh while looking away and nodding. I confessed, "Just nervous, honestly. I haven't done this whole liking someone in a minute."
"Same," he admitted. "I'm not gone lie, it's refreshing." I looked into his eyes and smiled, and he did the same while connecting hands with me.
