A month had passed since Izuku had had th surprise encounter with his first alphas. His father had been grumpier than usual, which was saying a lot for the miserable hulking man, thanks to most of his wages going to their annual tax collected by the mayor.
The miller had chosen to keep Izuku locked up in his room while going to work alone for eleven days now. The greenette wasn't in heat, wouldn't be for at least another month, but he dared not argue with his sire when the man had such a fowl temper. Inko would check on her son occasionally, but the omegan woman was so emotionally beaten down herself that she was terrified of what her husband might do were he to come home early and find their son's door unlocked.Izuku had spent his time daydreaming. There was nothing else for him, aside from spending time mending holes and rips in his well worn clothes, that, and staying fit with simple exsorcise. Though, he'd exersied less and less each day he was locked up in his room, the meager meals he'd recieved making him grow rather weak and tired. His father tended to allow him to eat more when his strength was needed at the mill. He was just "a waste of a mouth to feed" when not working. So as the days passed, he escaped the only way he knew how; in his dreams, both when asleep and now, when he was awake. He dreamt of travelling the kingdom, following the footsteps of the most famous fighter in all the lands, the gallant Sir All Might, once great general of the King's armies, who could fight off a hundred foe single handed! The knight had dissapeared two years back. Rumor had it he'd chosen to go adventuring to find what lay beyond the end of the world.
Most children in the kingdom had grown up listening to tales of the man's heroic deeds. It was rare to find a pup who hadn't idolized the man. Izuku had never grown out of that idolization.
He'd used a chard stick that he'd rescued from the previous night's fire to draw images on his bedroom walls of himself fighting alongside Sir All Might, beating an army of Savage invaders.
The mighty alpha wouldn't care if Izuku was an omega. He would simply respect him for his courage and strength. The greenette would stand for justice and teach others to respect omegas and treat them as equals.Izuku thought about this, smudging soot on the wall to draw himself. His stomach grumbled. Father should be back soon. It's nearly nightfall. He thought to himself.
Sure enough, not long after, he heard the front door open. The freckled lad winced as he heard the cottage door bang closed, signalling that his sire was in fowl spirits. "Fetch me my supper woman, and hurry with getting these boots off!" The man barked, his words slightly muffled through the door.
Izuku could hear his mother scampering about, quick to do her husband's bidding after stammering out a quick greeting to the ill tempered beta.Once the head of the house had his dinner in front of him, Inko was permitted to unlock Izuku's door and allow the boy out to quietly sit at the end of the small wood table and eat his own small portion of food with his parents, his eyes cast down at his plate, hungrily devouring the roasted lamb and barley portage in his bowl, knowing he could only speak if addressed by his father.
"People in town are tense. Our blasted leader's gotten mighty bold with his cut of the taxes this year. Claims it's the king's orders, but no one believes him for all his bluster." The older Midoriya said, stabbing the knife he always kept on him into his mutton, glowering at the spit of lamb chop as he raised it up, tearing a chunk off with his teeth.
"He's gone and hired a guard for his house. Can you believe it? A guard! Been going around saying that some group's supposed to be raviging the nearby lands or some such nonsense. Even said there'd been word of the king's men marching along in nearby parts. If that were the case, we'd hear about it by now. But no one's mentioned seeing hide more hair of any soldiers or troublemakers." The beta snorted. Inko just nodded, though Izuku nearly choked on his dinner at the mention of soldiers, his mind bringing back visions of the two alphas helping him by the hidden pool.
"Oh calm down boy!" His father snapped, rolling his eyes. "Quit being afraid of every little thing. You'll have to grow a damn spine eventually, if that's even possible for you, worthless as you are." He muttered the last part darkly, interpreting the look on his offspring's face for fear.
