After his run in with the two alpha boys, Izuku spent many days darting furtive glances off into the woods as he and his father walked to and from the mill. He hoped to catch a glimpse of red or blonde hair, or maybe a whiff of caramel or honey on the breeze.
But no such luck happened as the long summer days passed. Izuku continued to be worked hard, day in and day out, at his father's mill. His black eye faded. His broken nose mended, though was one of two painful reminders of Monamo's harsh treatment. The second reminder was the visit from the obnoxious lad himself a week after Izuku's face had been treated as a punching sack.
"Why if it isn't my favorite Omega!" Monamo had cackled as he had ducked in past the doorway.
He just had to wait until father was gone again! Oh but I hate his timing!
Izuku thought, a sour taste spreading over his tongue."Do y-you have something f-for us to gr-grind or pick up? Or d-did you just want a qui-quiet place to hide your f-face?" Izuku tossed out.
Smirking, Monamo walked up to stand behind Izuku as the green haired boy finished tying shut the latest sack of ground barley. "Maybe I just wanted to see what it was that made you such an uncommon bitch." The blonde boy whispered.
Despite himself, the hairs on the back of the Omega's neck stood on end. Hiding his unease under a placid expression, Izuku stood up, hefting the sealed sack onto his right shoulder. "I'm n-not sure I kno-know what you m-mean." He tried stepping away from the beta, needing to move the freshly ground barley flour to the other end of the mill, wanting to move it and himself as far away from his visitor as possible.
Monamo swiftly stuck an arm out, catching his prey by his unencumbered shoulder.
"Now hold on there little kitten. What's your rush?" The beta purred. It took effort for Izuku not to release any sign of unease into his scent. It would not do to show any signs of weakness to this bully.
Most betas could not smell alpha or omega pheromones well, but if Izuku released them, he would at least know he'd let the bastard blonde win.
"After all," Monamo drawled, "I came all this way just to see you, my favorite omega!"
"What is y-your deal!?" Izuku snapped, yanking away from Monamo. He continued to do his job, taking the finished sack to a pile of other similar ones, then going to the unground bags next, hefting one up on his shoulder. To his displeasure, his unwelcomed guest lifted a sack onto his own shoulder as well, carrying it along side the greenette. "Wow, so this is why you're so... Abnormal built." The blond mused, almost to himself Don't say anything. He wants you to interact.
Izuku hefted his cargo to the floor beside the millstone. Monamo mimicked him. So they went, two more times, grabbing a sack of grain each and setting it by the mill stone. All the while Monamo hounded at his former childhood friend, throwing taunts and questions, all the while appearing bored, but Izuku knew each sentence was directly aimed to hit it's mark."You know, most omegas know their places in life."
Izuku lifted a sack.
"They know their duties. Caring for the family and home."
Monamo lifted his own sack.
"Their parents find them a suitable mate. They have a few pups..."
Izuku trudged away.
" And yet, here you are, Izuku. An abomination to nature."
Monamo ambled right behind the miller's son.
"Not only are omegas supposed to be female, but they are also meant to be soft, graceful
... obedient."This got an eye roll from Izuku as he set the second sack down.
"Do you choose to go against both your first gender and everything it means to be your second gender, or are all your instincts just fucked? You don't act like an omega. And you certainly don't look like one. Not with those calloused hands and muscled arms."
