Seokjin
'Oh, How I've Missed You, My Love'
You had always known the risk that came with your husband's choice of occupation. It's something that you thought about time and time again. Something that he made sure that you were physically and mentally prepared for. There was nothing that he could do to emotionally prepare you. He knew that you were a crybaby. There was nothing that he could to keep you from being a mess about it. Though he tried his best to keep you level headed, it was futile. Especially in the court room.
His lawyer had gotten the sentence down to 23 years for his illegal drug trafficking and weapons dealing.
He didn't need a plea nor would he have taken one. There were several men to take the fall of whatever evidence didn't directly involve him. Their loyalty to him knows no bounds. They have been very well taken care of by him. And their families will stay taken care of and protected because of their loyalty.
In the court room, Seokjin watched you cry and curse the judge out when the sentence was given. It ultimately ended in you outing the fact that he held a personal grudge against your husband.
His wife had always been a high end woman and he simply could not keep up with her demands. Seokjin offered her a job with a very great payout. On said job, she met a man that she truly loves.
He helped her to see past all of the material things in life, though they both still have a love for them. Jimin swept her off of her feet and she's been with him ever since.
Because of the personal conflict of the trial, Seokjin was granted a retrial. His initial 23 years dropped to 13 after Seokjin's lawyer provided all of the necessary evidence. The feeling that he got from seeing you take charge and get things done for him was indescribable.
He was taken out of the court room after sentencing and you didn't get to see him for very long after. Maybe three to five minutes. With his case being high profile, they had to get him out of there before the entirety of downtown filled with reporters.
None of that mattered to you, though. You wanted to be with your husband for as long as possible. Four years the two of you have been together. For three and a half of them, you've been married.
Some people said you rushed into it. Others knew of Seokjin's work through the grapevine and called you an idiot for being by his side through it all. Many people knew what Seokjin did. The FEDS definitely did.
It was just a matter of gathering enough substantial evidence against him.
It took several years but eventually, the FEDS grew desperate. Even a few of their undercovers turned their backs on them and sided with Seokjin.
Hoseok Jung, for example. A surprise but his expertise and loyalty is greater to Seokjin than it ever was to the FBI.
That was just a job. This is a lifestyle.
