CONT'D

Devan heard his attention was needed urgently, he ushered them in and hoped for a good news ..

"She escaped, your highness!, Prince Lucious and Joey have fled also !" The general took a knee and reported..

"What?, How did that happen?.. well search for them , return only when you find them, otherwise y'all will pay with your lives.. Kim.. Kimbling!". He vented and raised brows to his thought, he rushed out to her chambers...

Luscious, Thessa and the rider were the only ones who lasted awake through out the night....early the next morning before sunrise, they got to the bank of the river which separates Unalia and the Burminek country where democracy and constitution are the supreme rulers of the people and presidency...

Luscious woke the others up, then  they chartered a lone ship for themselves and their belongings...

They began journeying ,whiles Thessa slept off, Lucious and Pearl sat opposite to each other and Matrona served everyone hot coffee, Pearl pinched a smile at her...

She noticed Lucious' unrelenting gaze on her, and felt shy which got him silently chuckling.....

"Too cute!" He muttered undertone and reverted his gaze...

Joey spread a blanket over Thessa and sat beside her whiles gazing in thoughts at Pearl...

He had a lot of reasoning about her going on in his head...

Devan was restless waiting on a cliff hang for results, to hide his actions and intentions from Jemilla , instead of floating their pictures in the news, he rather wrote and sealed letters to the other emperors and empresses to make the search easier...

The empire sat dead silent as its people heavily grieved for the dethronement of their empress..

The atmosphere had its fair share of their anguish....

Three hours on, they reached Unalia  . 

Owing to having nothing prepared yet , Thessa took a taxi to the estate and housing agency to take care of matters.  an hour on she returned with the documents alongside Hollies.

Overwhelmed with shock and teary excitement , Matrona bolted with open arms and pulled him in a tight embrace...she teared unto his shoulders as Pearl watched dumbfounded and remorseful tearing.

PEARL'S P.O.V

The moment my gaze fell on him every memory that was defined around my actions came running to me . From the background ,I could see , feel and hear the resounding heartfelt excitement with which Matrona rushed to embrace him .... I couldn't  quarrel with the guilt which held me steadfast to my stand point.. I felt that warm tear dripping down my eyes...  

I felt my left leg move when he looked over at me ,meeting my gaze ,having no control over my senses, I couldn't help but expect a reaction with my gaze, I saw him patting Mat to excuse him for a while, he began motioning towards me, as I foolishly took a step back, two more and I found myself running towards the ship which brought us and wallowing in sobs...

I couldn't control it as it kept streaming down, I heard Lucious calling out to me!.

LUCIOUS' P.O.V

I knew all wasn't well when she stood still in her spot, I had the edge to walk up to her and strengthen her but on the other hand what if i make it worse ,moreover this is between them.. 

Her transition too wasn't helping  at all, Zherra could have covered the situation but, ... oh spoke too soon, ''PEARL!'' I yelled when he held my hand from making a move towards her .. " no please allow me !'' he enunciated and proceeded after I nodded to it  I watched her sobbing in a heart wrecking manner...

Yes Pearl is completely back, but she'll take a while to fully conform to who she used to be..

GENERAL P.O.V

Holies took a squat behind her and wrapped his arms around her from behind, she held on to his arm and her tears escalated... 'It's all right Pearl, it's all right !'' he reassured...

''I'm sorry , I'm sorry ... I'm so sorry please!'' she wailed ... Hollies patted her back all through as Mat cupped her mouth in tears whiles watching them..

''she's really human now bro ?!'' Joey inquired from Lucious who nodded twice to him and held him close.

'' trust me I never planned for everything to turn out the way they did , I thought I could carry everything, but through my pride , I cast you guys aside ..I let you guys down and I'm sorry , I'm so sorry for everything !'' she pleaded through her tears, Matrona upon hearing that rushed to them to make a clarification..

 ''you can't take that blame Pearl don't be too hard on yourself, we all know I caused everything, even he tried to talk me out of betraying you and I still did anyway ..I'm sorry for separating us, for destroying the beautiful bond we shared... we were doing great together.. but then '' she bust into tears ..'' it's hard being apart from you guys... I've been living with regrets all this while... can you guys forgive me for that huh?!'' she pleased and they embraced each other ....

'' but if I had not forced you to do that, you wouldn't have, and I'm sorry for what I did to your mum..'' they made up over there before carrying ahead.

They settled in  well and took a rest, Lucious visited Pearl's room and noticed she was about taking a nap !... ''is everything alright now huh?'',  he inquired... '' yeah ! , I'll feel better if I could take a nap.... did you need anything?'' she passed ... ''not really!, just wanna talk but it can wait!, see you later then!''  .. he stepped out, took a moment in front of her door before walking away , just then he noticed Hollies stepping out of his room and approached...

They had a short conversation and walked separate ways.... to fit in their new settlement Lucious planned on shopping new wears for everyone ,just then Thessa came around .., 

''Hey! off to somewhere?'' She inquired .. , ''yeah! care to join? you could help me pick up some ladies wears, my first time ,you see ?" he replied, she raised her brows and parted her lips to the realization, that, he's going shopping for Pearl  ... " sure!," she faked a smile and followed after him.

Pearl laid face up on her bed, full of thoughts about the empire, her past and her predicament . she shed tears whiles in the process .... Joey climbed the stairs and halted in front of her room. He kept his gaze on her door whiles holding a fist at his thoughts.

Hollies observed him from afar.... subconsciously taking steps towards her door, he hesitated in knocking, shielding his hands back in his pocket , he walked back down stairs.

Hollies followed after him , "Is everything alright huh?, I saw you heading towards her room?" he probed.

Joey took a sigh and relaxed in the couch  ," everything is fine, I just wanted to check up on her!" with the corners of his eyes , he observed Hollies walk away.  After a while before dinner, Luscious and Thessa returned with lots of shopping bags.

Pearl stepped down from the   stairs and joined everyone to have dinner, she was all excited and energized managing  to fetch their concern ... "um Pearl", Luscious began whiles pulling up a seat for himself .. " is .. everything alright huh ? " he enunciated.
