CREEPING FEARS*

GENERAL POV

Pearl yelped in pain and activated her cleric healing, not ready to give in, Nathan sped towards the force and called out to her, " Pearl! it's enough! Everything is destroyed already, come out of there!" He screamed but she only glared at him .

" Do I look that stupid to you huh! You are no different, Nathan! You're full of deceit, and there I was thinking you might have changed, for how long were you planning to hide that from me, tell me!" She hissed at him .

" Come out and let's talk, you're mad at me so confront me then! Come on don't be too stubborn , Pearl!" She turned her back on him while the flames kept escalating, seeing as she wasn't ready to give in, Nathan was forced to take up his form, activating the seal on her soul too.

Pearl saw him breaking through the force , with her attention on him , Sandra chanted the spell again and broke the force ., She called forth rain to quench the fire , Nathan grabbed onto her and sped to the palace.

Sandra left in search of Ariana, the news broke out in the kingdom after a while, many admired her courage while others called for a thunderbolt punishment for her.

Nathan took her to the room, gently placed her on the bed, and searched for any wound but located none after which he relaxed, " let go of me will you!" Pearl took her hand from his and rose to her feet , still angry.

Nathan walked out and headed back to the site, he found the ruins so great , a new place would have to be designated for a new erection. Pearl also snack out again and this time, she made her way to the museum, she melted the locks and broke into it.

The dagger began glowing and shaking aggressively from its sheath, she searched for the seal to the boundary but couldn't find it .

Sandra sensed the urgency and made adjustments to her plans, she headed to the museum.

" I know you're in here, Pearl ! Haven't you done enough already? Never you take his silence to be his weakness, you keep acting naive and he says nothing, have you asked yourself why he does that huh, come out now !" She yelled before the dagger fell down ,

Pearl heard the noise and decided to go check it out, but before she would grab it from the ground Nathan entered and took hold of her, Sandra came there too and picked it up.

The energy aggressively pulled her towards Pearl and Nathan, the green substance, began forming a pattern out of the vault in the dagger, towards Pearl, " the spell is breaking off , take her out of here, Nathan!" Sandra warned.

Pearl began coughing whiles past memories came back to her, she coughed out blood before Nathan managed to separate her from the connection it was building with her system, she lied unconscious in his arms.

He sped her to the palace and saw the realm leaders awaiting his return in there, Ariana hosted them in his absence. He looked on and took her inside, while he tuck her in bed, Ariana came into his room.

" Is this what you want? To always become a doormat to those rulers huh? All you care about is her but, does she even acknowledge that? The kingdom is suffering and you've failed to see it! I am deeply hurt that, you replaced me with someone who only knows how to ruin you and the toil of our forefathers!"

She wasted no second to hear him speak and fled, Nathan kept his gaze on her face, " what to do with you, Pearl! for how long would you want me to understand you!" he left to tend to them.

they brought up their complaint against Pearl and ordered she be released to face retribution, Nathan realized it's her death that they wish for,

"from the genesis of that project, to where it was before this day, my father built and invested his all in it, bring me an illustration of your cents in that project , and I'll make sure to return them to you with interest, for as far as I could recall, you only signed and sealed a go ahead with him, pledging your support and nothing else , if it so bites you that my kingdom has lost that treasure, then I'm sure your kingdom will be quite delighted to have it in there, Fabian!"

He clarified , still failing to get them to leave, " are you trying your best to protect that bratty human, Nathan? Are you sure we still have the upper hand against her? because from all indication, she plans to destroy as slyly before we set out to touch her world, speaking of keeping that treasure in my kingdom, it is so clear who has access to that boundary, Valloany holds claim to the seals, its exit and entry , so tell me how do you make it possible for my kingdom to trespass your land to that point?" he questioned to which Nathan refused to answer.

However, he went on to show them their place, "All I want to say is, this is my issue, so let me worry about it, leave what happens in Valloany to Valloany ,Fabian! if there's any punishment to be given her, it is my responsibility to take care of that,". Fabian laughed briefly and stared silently at him, without feeling intimidated, Nathan stared back at him.

"be mindful of what you're trading your kingdom for, Nathan! a woman with a stubborn heart , embraces death even when it's only bypassing, there will be no excuse acceptable next time, and from the little we've experienced, it seems she's a little too much for you to tame, the clock is ticking, Nathan!" he had the last laugh and walked away.

The door was opened, and Pearl stood behind it, Fabian took a moment to stare at her ,he pinched a smile and walked away with the others, she entered when he was there alone, she knew why they had come, because the palace was not silent about it, everyone saw her as the worst nut.

"I thought everything is fair in love and war, or it used to be, imagine I was to be in your place right now, having the upper hand and authority to destroy your civilization that you have built for centuries, just because I so desire and can, tell me where that will leave you?" Pearl lamented.

" I wonder how long you've plotted this evil , and you only consider your benefits, what am I even talking about, you all are heartless, so how can you know the feeling, you think I'm mad at you huh? I'm damn angry with you all, and I won't spare a little chance to annihilate you all because, even you won't show a little pity when I become your prey!" she continued whereas Nathan only sat there, listening to every word that left her lips.

she cried again , calmly saying, " so never you claim to love me ever again, Nathan! you have no idea what that word means, you only mistake your narcissism for that, you are all about yourself and that's just all it is, because what it takes to feel that emotion, you don't possess that, what it takes to wear someone else's shoes, in other words to feel their pain and what they deserve, to sacrifice your desire and self for others, quite unfortunately, you all don't have it, which is quite disappointing! so pathetic! never you tell me, I love you ever again!".
