Common room feelings

     Kirishima found it hard to talk about his feelings. Well, that's not entirely true. He could talk about his good feelings, his excitement and his joy, his love for his friends. He couldn't talk about the way he felt like he wasn't doing enough or the way he didn't think he was worthy. He couldn't talk about his pain.

     It was late one night in the U.A common room where Kirishima finally told someone about his thoughts.

     Deku, Bakugo, Todoroki, Mina, Denki, Shinsou, and him were staying up after the others had gone to bed. On one couch sat Mina, who was doing Izuku's hair as he sat on the floor. Next to Deku was Todoroki, who had his head in Izuku's lap with his eyes closed. Both boys where smiling. Across from them was Denki and Shinsou, who sat on the couch chatting. Bakugo was behind them, making some sort of snacks. As for Kirishima, he was sitting on a chair close to where Denki was sitting.

     He was smiling, but his eyes didn't quite match his lips.

"Hey Kiri," Mina said. "KIRI! Earth to Kirishima."

With a start Kirishima looked up at her. "Sorry," he said, "what's up?"

"You doing okay? You haven't been talking at all, and you keep zoning out." Mina replied.

"Yeah I'm fine," Kiri said, smiling at her.

"Bullshit." Said Bakugo.

"What?"

"You've been looking at the ground all day, you got second last place in training. The only person you beat was Mineta for fucks sake. So something is clearly going on, we can all tell."

"Im okay guys, seriously." Kirishima said, looking around at his friends.

"You can talk to us Kirishima." Todoroki said.

"Yeah man, we're here for you." Sero added.

With a sigh, Kirishima looked down at the floor then back up at his friends.
"You're really not gonna leave this be are you?"

"Nah bro, we want to help." Denki smiled.

"It's just..." Kirishima sighed, "Do you ever get a little bit tired of life? Like your not really happy but you don't want to die?"

     His friends looked at him for a moment, not really knowing what to say. Then Deku responded. "Like your hanging by a thread cause you gotta survive." He nodded, as if he understood exactly what Kirishima was talking about.

"Cause you've got to survive. It's worth it to survive" Katsuki said, looking at his two friends.

Then Shinsou said, "Like your body's in the room but you're not really there? I get that." He looked down.

Mina turned to Kirishima and asked, "Like you've got empathy inside but you don't really care? I've felt like that before."

"Yeah I guess" replied Kirishima.

Denki looked around and said, "Like your fresh out of love but it's been in the air."
Shinsou turned his head at that, and he looked at Denki with sad eyes.

"Am I past repair?" Kirishima asked.

"No Kiri, you aren't." Mina said, "We're all broken here."

"Yeah, the hero corse is hard. There's no way we can be happy and okay all the time." Said Deku

"Your the last person I excepted to be sad dude." Said Kirishima, looking at deku.

     Deku and Denki caught eyes before quickly looking away.

"Yeah, I get that a lot."

"So...you guys don't think I'm worthless? Like I don't do enough?"

"Of course not dude! Your the manly-est man there is." Mina said with a wink.

"Thanks man," Kiri said, "thank you guys."

     Mina came over and gave him a hug, and wiped away his tears.

"Hey, it'll be okay. We're here love." Mina loved using pet names at the weirdest times for her friends.

     With that, the group went back to talking, and Kirishima felt a little better then before, even though his thoughts weren't completely gone.
