NOT MY ART!!!
A/N- Hi guys. So I have like no clue what I'm doing but I saw a tiktok and that's what this is based on. Idk tell me if it's okay?

You know those days when you wake up and all you can see is the ghosts of your past? The smell of the air is poison and trauma. Your hands are dry and cracking, and you know it's gonna be hard day. For Denki, it was one of those days most days. As a child he wouldn't know what to do about it, so he would cry. He would cry in his closet, on the floor, on the bus, and even around his friends.

He had a nick name back then. People would call him the "cry Meister" because of how often tears ran down his checks. He stopped crying at school after that. In fact, he stopped showing any emotion other then smiles and laughs around people.

A few years later, at the start of grade 8, Denki told his mom about his mornings. Except they weren't just mornings anymore, maybe they never had been. He got taken to doctors and psychologist who diagnosed him with ADHD and depression. But apart from his diagnoses he didn't get much help at all. It was partially his fault for lying to his therapist though. Needless to say, Denki still had bad mornings, and worse days.

Deku never quite felt the same after he lost his sense of self. He's not really sure when it happened exactly, if it was all at once or over longs days and nights of feeling nothing but pain.

What he did know was that he could never let his mother find out. What he did know was that he would never admit to Katchan how much he had hurt him. Deku came up with a solution to his bad mornings years ago.

It was the same thing every time, and he remembers it by heart. He made a list, a mental list of his steps.
Step 1- get ready for the day
Step 2- go to the bathroom and find a mirror
Step 3- talk it out

5 am, U.A dorms

Deku opened his door and left his room, walking in the direction of the bathrooms. No one should be in them right now, most people are only just waking up. But not Deku, he's been awake for hours.

It's like this everyday. He doesn't mind, in fact he quite likes the quite and the darkness. He doesn't have to smile when no one else is around.

Dragging his fingers along the wall, Deku starts making his way to the bathroom. The door is already open though, and he wonders who else would be crazy enough to be out of bed this early.

Walking slowly into the room, quietly so as not to disturb whoever was inside, Deku enters the bathroom. He heard someone, Sero maybe? No, this wasn't Sero's voice. Plus everybody knows Sero won't wake up until 7:30 am. Who is it then? Deku rounds the corner and he sees a tuft of yellow hair.

Ah, he thinks, it's Denki. But...wait, is he talking to someone? No, he's looking into the mirror. Denki takes a breath and he starts to talk.

"Don't cry. I'm 16 assignments behind. I'm running late but it's fine... Just don't cry."

Deku walks forward, and Denki turns around, just noticing he was there. His eyes are shocked, and he starts trying to talk when Deku says,

"Don't cry. He hurt your feelings but that's alright. He didn't know that you're sensitive, at your breaking point."

Denki looks at him strangely, but he seems to know who Deku is talking about.

"He's insensitive," he says.

"Uh that's not the point. Just don't cry." Deku's voice is soft, and broken. Like a kitten hanging over a ledge, forced to rip apart and become a lion.

"Let's pretend we see blue skies," Denki says, putting on a smile.

"Let's pretend that we're all good, won't fall apart, cause we're all good." Replies Deku, forcing his usual grin.

They stand there in the bathroom, looking at each other and knowing now that they aren't alone.

"So," Denki starts, "Do you often come here at the ass crack of dawn to give pep talks?"

Deku smiles a small smile, and nods.

"Everyday."

"How long?"

"Since 4th grade."

Denki nods, and says, "I'll leave you to it then." And he starts to walk away, pointing with his usual finger guns.

"Wait," Deku exclaims, "You can join me."

"What?"

"You can join me. We can- we can do it together, y'know? I'm here every morning, if you wanted too..."

Denki just smiles and nods and walks out of the room. Neither of them say anything in class, but the next day when Deku goes down stairs he finds the bathroom door open again.
