He slowly accepted and held Tadashi's hand. The combination of Hiro's cold hands and Tadashi's warm soft hands felt perfect. Hiro had an uneasy feeling, but dismissed it when he glanced around the room to see that no one was starring. Hiro tightened his grip on Tadashi's hand and decided that he would never let go.
"Welcome to the semi annual town meeting. Today, we have some very important topics to be discussed by some very important people. First order of business, the job scarcity." A man upon stage spoke with a loud voice. He droned on with what seemed like halfhearted interest. The meeting drew on for what seemed like ages. Tadashi tried to stay awake by participating, but he did end up falling asleep on Hiro's shoulder.
"The next and final matter is slave trade." The man boomed again. Hiro shook Tadashi violently until he woke up. "Slave trade is now banned in this country. If you are bent on having slaves, then westward expansion would be recommended. Current slaves will become free. "
Tadashi tightened his grip around Hiro's hand extremely tight. They both tried to keep their smiles down. Sombre and stoic. As people started to stand up, Tadashi and Hiro dettached their hands. Hiro held onto the back of Tadashi's jacket while He led Hiro out to where Fred was parked. Contrary to the other car rides, this one was filled with laugher, celebration and laughs.
