Sho Ritter's local safe house
Friday
7:00

*Beep... Beep...beep...beep*

The alarm was blaring, yet Leo slept on his stomach with his mouth open, snoring loudly, he was shirtless and the blanket covered his lower body.

"Leo, get up," Sho said, only to be replied by more snoring. Sho turned off the alarm and yelled again "Leo, we need to go meet up with the scientist, we still haven't told him that he is joining us in the mission"

"Umm... Hmm," Leo just groaned but showed no sign of waking up.

Sho knew that he was talking a lot nowadays, he still tries not to let Leo get to him and spill everything, but he knows that Leo is the first person he has spoken to using more than one sentence and stuff that is irrelevant. For example, right now, it isn't Sho's job to wake Leo up, but he does. The reason is that they both are stuck together, and the rich kid doesn't have a home in this part of town, unlike Sho who has safe houses in different parts of the world. Leo was annoying for most of it, but Sho still took him in, let him stay in the guest room, and even cooked him food. Which Leo gratefully consumed even though it was absolutely disgusting.

"Leo..." Sho called again, and that was it.

Leo was kicked on the butt when he was sleeping, he rolled down the bed and landed on his ass, he winced and groaned but Sho thought he deserved it, "are you crazy? It's 7 in the morning, why would you wake me up so early"

Sho didn't need to explain, but he was doing that a lot nowadays, and he was comfortable doing it only for Leo, that annoying bastard who doesn't understand shit when told just once. "We need to get to the headquarters, you wanted me to eat and sleep well, I did it...for two whole days, now we have to get back to the headquarters, find our scientist friend and break the news to him that he is expected to join us on the mission and stay with us for months"

" Wow, now that's the most I've heard you speak"

" I don't have a choice, do I? Your dumb brain doesn't seem to understand when told once"

" Heyy... Come on brother, don't do this"

" Don't call me brother, get up and get ready, we'll leave after breakfast"

" Yeah yeah" Leo stood up with half sleepy eyes, he yawned and scratched his messy hair, the sunlight falling into the room highlighted his chiseled abs and strong, muscular arms and legs, he wore only a boxer and looked like he came out of a sex novel (minus the hair). He took a shower, got changed, wore his dog tag, which every person is given when going on field operations. After wearing a black t-shirt and brown loose jeans, made his hair and stepped out. "What's for breakfast," he asked as he saw Sho sitting on the table.

"Toast"

"Oh, umm, yeah. Burnt toast" he picked up the hard crusty black bread from the plate with two fingers and examined it, "at least we have avocado"

"We don't have avocado"

"What do you mean, I just... Oh right, I cleaned the jar yesterday, so what do we have?"

"Mixed fruit jam"

"Ergg, burnt toast, and mixed fruit jam. Hmm, I can work with that" he smeared the jelly on the hard bread and took a bite only to taste fruit jam mixed with overpowering bitterness, "hmm, yeah" *cough... Cough* "this is good" Leo lied and continued to eat.

Sho knew he was terrible at cooking, but he hates to waste food, he would go days without food or water on missions, so he knows more than anyone the value of food, he has consumed rice mixed with the sand that blew in his food on a dessert mission. So burnt toast is not that horrible, but what surprised him was how far Leo went to make him comfortable and open up to him. The young man was very annoying, but sho slowly started to have a soft corner for him, step by step he was becoming a Best Friend, he was becoming a Brother.
