Harper POV
"Avery! Sophie! Come say bye! She's leaving now"
" What happened?" Avery yawned at me "Why does she have a trailer?" Sophie asked holding Lucas (the horse she rides) in a leash letting him eat the green grass in the ditch beside the road. " I don't know she wouldn't tell, maybe she's getting more sawdust?" I said.
"With a trailer that fits 3 horses in it?" Avery looked at me questioning. None of them looked convinced I'm not convinced myself either..
" Hey! I told you all I know, try asking her yourself" I tried defending myself
"Alright" Avery answered.
" Hey Brit? What are you doing with a trailer? Aren't you just going to talk with someone in another city about the continuing about the barn?" Avery asked. "Yes, but I need something from that city and it's easier if I have the trailer with me" Brit answered.
"Aight we'll see you in two weeks then?" Avery "Of course!" Brit "Bye everyone!" " By the way Sophie! I trust you to take care of Tommy and Tinky?" " I will!" Sophie answered " Bye Brit, bye Carol!" Everyone yelled after them.
" Anyone up for a hack? Lucas needs to move his feet more than just in the paddock. Plus I'm bored now" Sophie asked me and Avery " Sure! Harper can you help me get Rap? You know how he is.." Avery asked me " Sure, Sophie can you go get Biscuit then?" " Of course Harper! you know I love Biscuit" Sophie laughed and went in with Lucas.
"Ugh I hate taking Rap in.. he always just runs away, and especially on hacks he always just runs. We're not going to gallop a lot are we?" Avery ranted to me " Well you know how Me and Sophie are, we love speed" I laughed then I saw her expression and quickly added " we won't force you of course" " and we won't leave you behind either" I quickly added, we were now on our way back with Rap walking with his chain over his nose and Avery holding him tight then me in the other side of him holding in his halter.
"It'll be fine"
Both of them had fjords I'm glad I didn't get a fjord, I'm not that big of a fan. I ride Biscuit which is a Norwegian dole horse, he can't jump that big which is a shame since I love jumping, but I still love him.
" Are y'all ready?" Sophie always get so quickly done "yea I'm done!" Avery answered " Biscuit bend your flipping head!" I groaned " He's just annoying me about being short.."
" We all know she lied about just needing something, she hates driving with trailers unless she needs to" we were discussing Brit's secrecy about the trailer, right now Sophie was ranting on " I thought that since Biscuit is Carols horse and not the barns maybe their getting a new one, so you get your own and You can actually ride in the weekends and Carol doesn't just let her daughter ride so you can't ride" " Maybe.. I don't really know if I want a new one tho.. I love Biscuit even tho he's not the barns or my own" " on another note tho! Did you guys send your application to OEA?" " Yea! I did, mom said that if I got accepted she would buy me my own horse on the spot! Even tho it they didn't say anything about needing our own!"Sophie beamed " Me too! Mom said she would get the best horse she could find!" Avery beamed back " Yea I don't know if I would get my own, you know how mom is. I have saved up about 40 K in secret tho" I said sarcastically as we all laughed and joked until " hey let's gallop a little! You've gotten a new bit havent you Avery?" Sophie asked " Okay just a little tho.."
" WEEEE!!" Sophie yelled really far in front of us " C'mon Biscuit!" I yelled and squeezed my legs around his stomach so he would run faster. Me and Avery were neck against neck in the middle then Biscuit got a sudden boost and ran as if his life depended on it! I laughed out loud as we suddenly were neck to neck with Sophie and Lucas " Eat dust!" She yelled as she got him to run faster " You little!" And then we ran A bit more
" I WON! HA!" I yelled as I gave Biscuits a hug around his neck and patted him. we stopped were we usually stopped as it only was a thin path in the forest from here, plus Sophie always won.
A little later we saw Rap and Avery coming behind us. Me and Sophie were just chatting while we waited for her " Hey Avery! Nice of you to join us" Sophie laughed
" It's not fair one of you guys always win" she was breathing heavily and looked like she had been bleeding from her cheek " What happened to your cheek?" I asked concerned " Rap ran into the forest so I just got hit by a bush, but it's fine really"
" let's walk back, Biscuits dead right now" " Lucas too" "Rap third" Avery laughed last.
1 week and 5 days later
" Only two more days till we get too see what was really in there trailer!" Sophie is really invested in that trailer " Don't get disappointed if there is nothing cOoL in it tho" I laughed at her. Avery is sick so it was just us " Have you gotten your letter back? It should've came by now.." she said concerned " What if we don't get in! I haven't tried getting into anything else!" She's suddenly panicking " Calm down Soph your one the second best at the whole barn!" I reassured her " yea but we have a really small barn we're not a lot of riders are, plus YOU are the best at barn so what if they accept you and Avery and not me or me and you, but not Avery!" " Or even worse! Me and Avery and not you!" She was suddenly really pale " C'mon none of us is leaving anyone if not everyone get in no one leaves remember?" I tried calming her down as we walked to the tack room to sit down " We start together-" " And we end together, of course, but this can determine our future!"
Half an hour later
*Ring! Rrriing* " It's Avery!" I exclaimed to Sophie which had finally calmed down " Hey girl!" "Hey, did you guys get your letters!" " Well we're in the barn so I don't know, why?" " I GOT ACCEPTED!" " AHH IM SO HAPPY!" " Really! Congrats girl!" " I'm so happy for you Avery!" Sophie said into the phone " Hey I'll call you later I need to get home moms here to pick me up" " bye"
"Bye Soph"
"So dear, your letter came today" mom said " What! What did it say!?" She laughed at me " I didn't open it" she said as she drove into the driveway. " It's on the countertop" I sprinted in to see a white letter with a VERY fancy font that said OEA To: Harper Williams.
