Anti didn't come home until three days later, JJ found him on the kitchen floor, cuddling a dishtowel. JJ only smile of courses seeing his sparks dance around him like they used to.
They got him in the bath, into new clothes, and into bed. The moment he his the mattress, he grabbed Golden Freddy and got comfortable.
Anti slept for two days after, waking up with God awful bed head and hunger. He almost ate all of the left overs from the last week. What's was really kicking his ass was the raging headache. It wouldn't let up for a week before he was entirely back to normal.
He seemed to be taking it easy, no threats, not even video games. He would just sit and watch TV, watching the others play. He was silent too, when the others would try to strike up a conversation he would either stay silent or nod.
Another off thing for Anti was the little trips outside he would make at night. Chase was the first to notice, looking out the window and seeing him sit on the steps, looking at the sky.
One night, Jack caught him in the act. He stepped out and joined, smiling as he sat next to him. Looking to the stars as well.
"I hope you don't mind." He said it quietly and gently. Anti continued to look up, not exactly ignoring the Irishman, merely focused. Jack couldn't help but look at him. This was Anti, no doubt he was himself.
"I'm sure it's great to be you again, now maybe we can shove the Hunters away." Jack was somewhat expecting a flinch or something z but he was still. A shooting star dashed across the sky, Jack gasped.
"Did you see! Make a wish!" Jack kneaded his fingers together and closed his eyes. He wished for peace for him and his family, forever. He opened his eyes after his wish and gave a light smile seeing Anti's eyes closed as well. He returned his attention and hummed, leaning closer to the demon.
"What'cha wish for?" As expected, silence, Jack wasn't going to hold it against him. Jack watched the sky once more when he suddenly got sad. This question had been weighing him down ever since Jackie brought Anti home a month and a half ago.
"I hope this doesn't hurt too much to think about, and you don't have to answer." He swallowed, fearful for the moment the next words rolled off his tongue.
"When you got captured, and we're locked away for all those months, what did you think about?" It shattered his heart to finally say those words, and hear his voice vocalize it. Nothing came of it thought Anti's attention didn't seem to be on Jack's question, he actually seemed zoned. When he received no answer, he rose with a smile.
"Alright, I'll leave you alone. Sleep good, see you in the morning." Jack spoke before entering the house. Anti didn't move and Jack shut the door quietly, leaving the Glitch alone.
There was a moment of everlasting silence before Anti fell onto his back. Getting more comfortable view of the twinkling stars.
"You. It was always you." He mumbled, and no one was there to see it. He watched the jewels for a minute longer before standing.
"We did it Chaos, we're free. Now, let's go visit Micheal." He would probably never let it down, he was the reason for Chaos's death, just a month short from freedom. He felt like he owed it to him, to visit the grave.
He glitched away to find Michael's resting places hopefully that will put Chaos to rest. The next morning, Anti started talking again.
And... We're done! This took so long, I'm sorry! School is a bitch, isn't it. This was angsty, but ya know, you need some good hardass to soft boi angst every now and then! My next one is done already, I don't know when I'll post the next book, but I promise it's a little more light hearted. I'll give you hint, what comes after vampires? I'll see ya later! Awooooo! 🐺
