Chapter 1

Dark monsters shormed around in a dark empty area as a boy was in the center and he was being scared by the monsters. He was 14 years old, he had tanned skin and brown spiky hair, and he was wearing a white shirt and white pants. The boy was on the ground as he was shaking in fear as he said, "Why? Why is this happening?" A figure approaches from the shadows and the boy screams in fear as he sees the figure approach him. "K.O? K.O?'" A voice said, and the boy woke up in bed as what he was seeing was just a dream and he saw a bunny girl at his age standing by his bed, she was wearing a pink sleepwear uniform. "Oh, hey Potato." K.O said. "K.O, what's wrong?" "Well, I had a dream again." K.O said. "Is it about that villain again?" Potato asked. "Yeah." K.O said as he sighed. Potato sighed as she sat down on K.O's bed and said, "Oh K.O, I know you want to be a hero, you gotta think positive about the gag and stay strong, that's what those heroes on tv and interviews say." "Yeah, but that villain is supposed to be one that a hero can't take lightly." K.O said. Potato sighed and said, "Look K.O, he's probably not that important since we're kids who would be like those heroes one day, but it's not worth worrying about now since we aren't at that responsibility yet, so try not to worry about it too much." Potato got off the bed as she continued, "And don't scream again, we all have to wake up every time you do that, and we have school tomorrow." Potato left the room, and K.O looked down as he thought, 'Potato's right, it's not too much to worry about.' K.O went back to sleep to dream of something else.

(Dream)

In a cloudy void, K.O looked around and saw a door in the air in front of him and he went and opened it, and when he walked through the door, entering a room.

The room has appeared to be a room in a mansion, as it looked all in blue and with a bit of silver and white. In the center of the room, was a man sitting in a chair with a table in front of him with a woman next to him. "Welcome to the Velvet Room, my dear boy." Said the man. K.O then decided to be polite and sit in the empty chair in front of the table, and the man smiled as he said, "My name is Igor, the master of this room. I am delighted to make your acquaintance." Igor then waved his hand towards the woman and said, "This is my assistant Michale, she is a resident here, like myself." "It's very nice to meet you." Michale said with a smile to K.O. "This place exists between dream and reality, mind and matter." Igor said with a smile and he continued as he said, "It's been years since we had a guest. For you see, this room can only be entered by those who are bound by a "contract"." "Contract?" K.O asked. "Yes, for you see, it seems that a fate is waiting for you in the near future." Igor said. "Fate?" "Yes, for you have what you might think of it as an interesting destiny." Igor said as he then summoned a deck of cards and said, "Now, let us see what your future holds, shall we?" a few cards went around on the table and Igor said, "Do you believe in fortune telling?" K.O nodded and Igor said, "Each reading is done with the same cards, but the results are different, such as life itself, isn't that right?" A card was flipped over and it was the Tower card as he said, "Hm.. The tower in the upright position shows the future within this week, it appears a disaster is very likely to occur." "Disaster? What's going to happen?" K.O asked in fear. "There's more to this. The card indicating the future beyond this week is..." Igor said as he flipped another card and it was the Sun as he said, "The Sun, in the uplift position. This card represent "Happiness" and "Joy"..... Very interesting indeed. It seems you will encounter a bright future at your destination, and a great life will be imposed upon you." K.O felt good from that and Igor continued and said, "The coming year is a turning point in your destiny, if you fail to find happiness for your life, your future may be lost forever. My duty is to assist our guests to prevent that from happening." "So, you're saying you are to help me with my dream of becoming a hero?" K.O asked. "In a way, yes, but for more. You would also most likely encounter many things that'll make you have choices to make, which would affect your future, but most importantly, you will encounter someone who would try to change your destiny, where you will have to choose to either keep it, or change it."
