“Who do I choose?” “Well... I hate Tikki. But I want Plagg to pay.... Go to Plagg.” “All right then.” After going to both Plagg and Tikki, he returned. “Now we will start on the training Lila.” They went to a training field. “Um where are all the “materials”?” “Not here, or do you see them?” “No....” “That is why we needed this.” Lyra pulls out the golden ticket. “I hereby call for the materials used to surpass!” About 20 bags of salt and about 40 metal bars. There were also some 50 puzzle boards, checker boards, planning boards, strategy boards, metal, wood, black, brown, white, red, blue boards, and even color palates along with small cards. “Okay, I do not think we need this much stuff.” “Oh, believe me, kid. We do need this.” “Even the dumb puzzle and strategy boards?” “Lila, those are for planning.” “Planning our moves?” “Yes. We need to plan accordingly to see how our moves can affect us. For the war, we will need to think of the upmost ways, Tikki will try to play, for us to win.” “Uhm, how long would that take. A few weeks? Maybe a month at most?” “Heh, heh.... no.” “Huh?” “The most would be about 2 years.... at MOST and for the least.... well unless you don’t want to be prepared...... It will take only about....” Lyra started counting something with her fingers. “Four months.” “FOUR MONTHS?” “Yes.” “That’s so long!” “Yeah, but if we are to win, we MUST train.” “Sigh, okay.” “Do you want to win, or simply just fight?” “Hell, I want to win!”
“Then we shall begin our year-long training.” “Right!” First, they started putting the materials up in the places Lyra thought were best. “Now, then. We will first start on the punching bags.” “Which?” Some 60-punching, not even close to that but more, bags were all lined up one-after-the other in front of Lila hanging on a tree branch. “How do you know that this won’t fall?” “With the luck of this golden ticket, nothing EVER goes wrong.” “Alright then.” Lila stared at Lyra. “Well, what are you waiting on?” “Aren’t I supposed to turn into Volpina to train? After all, it is Volpina the one who is going to fight, not Lila.” “No. You are Volpina, and Volpina is Lila. With or without the miraculous you will need to train. If you only fight like Volpina, you will only be weak mentally. If you fight like yourself, Lila, you will be strong physically and mentally.” “Sigh, fine!” “Okay, now give this bag a punch.” Lila punches the bag lightly. “Oh, come on! If you’re going to fight Marinette, you will want to fight her. Punching like that won’t help.”  “Is it my fault this has salt in it? Salt! Lyra seriously!” “Sigh, kid, ya know what? The next bag doesn’t have salt. In fact, it has....” “Thank you!” Lyra punched the second one. HARD. “OW! What the HELL is IN this?” “I was going to say that the other one had rocks in it.” “Rocks? Really?” “Yes. That is why you need to wait for directions. Also, that is why you need to train in the first place.”
“What? If I continue with this, I will make my knuckles bleed... is that what you want?” “Sigh, no. I just want you to get stronger.” “Well, I can’t do it.” “Lila, listen to me. If you’re able to beat these bags, you’ll eventually be able to fight me.” “Fight you?” “Yep. But that will be AFTER you manage to get through them.” “Okay, I’m ready.” Lila punched the bag, a little harder this time. “Again.” Lila went again. “Again, and harder.” Lila punched repeatedly, each time a bit harder than the last.  By the end of the day Lila had already punched about 3 distinct types of bags in total out of 60. “Huff, puff. Tell me we’re done.” “Mhm, we’re done. But tomorrow we’ll continue, and we’ll start with the other activities. For now.... let’s have dinner.” “Alright.”
                                                      (The next day)
“Come on!” LyraPaws said pulling the covers off still sleepy Lila. “Wake up sleepy head, breakfast is ready.” “Nhh, I don’t want to go to school!” “Lila, we need to train remember.” “Ohhhh, yeah I remember.” She went down and saw a plate with eggs along with a glass of orange juice and a bowl with milk.” “Today we will also be working on the metal bars.” “Bars?” “Yeah, you need to get your muscles stronger.” “Uh!” They went outside. “We begin with stretches.” “What types?” We need to stretch our arms, legs, thighs, back, neck. Everything. If not, we will get cramps.” “Alright. Do you want us to stretch our arms first?” “Mhm.” They stretched their arms, legs, back, neck, thighs and arms and then began. “First, you will lift your arms like this. Good. Next you will grab the bar like this.” Lila followed her lead. “Great, now try to lift yourself.” “Why don’t you do it first?” Lyra raised her arms and lifted herself. She lifted and dropped. She lifted and dropped. She repeated about 20 times. Slowly at the first 10 and faster at the last 10. “How can you even do that?” “What do you mean?” “I’m not strong enough to even do that!” “That’s why we need to train, kid. To get stronger, we need to get our muscles used to lifting and moving. If we can’t lift ourselves, how can we lift weapons and other objects twice our weight?” “Wait, what?”
“What? All I'm saying is that if you want to get strong you will need to dedicate your time to your training. Yes, there will be breaks to eat and use the restroom and of course.... well... even showers. But for the most part you will spend day and night training, are we clear?” “Lyra, that will take forever. Besides, that would be boring!” “Tell me, do you care about Adrien?” “No... I used to but... not anymore, no.” “Then you don’t care what happens to him or Kagami?” “No, I don’t.” “Well in the war, there is a probability that they might get killed.” “Yeah, I know.” “Now, come on. Let’s go. We have to get back to training.” Lila tried getting on the metal bar again, this time, Lyra held her legs. After about 20 seconds, Lyra let her go. “That’s right, just keep doing that.” “Uh, Lyra I’m.... trying to....” She looked down. “He... hey. You’re not even... holding my....” Lila jumped down. “Legs!” “Lila, you’re going to have to do it alone eventually, you know. I can't be holding your legs every time.” “Uh, fine!” “Come on, we need to start on running.” “Running? I thought you said we needed to do the punching bags.” “That will be after.” They went to a track. “Allright, I’m going to have a stopwatch going. I need to see how fast you are.” “But how fast do I need to be?” “Well, about my speed that’s for sure.” “And what is your speed exactly?” “It is exactly, 4:32.” “4:32!?” “Mhm. Yep.” “Aw, I’m never going to beat you.” “Hey, hey. You don’t know that yet. Maybe you will.”
“Yeah, right.” Lila rolled her eyes and continued. After a few minutes later, Lyra told Lila her time. “Okay, Lila, your time is 6:57:23 seconds!” “6??” “Yeah, almost 7.” “See? I can’t beat you!” “Lila, you’ve only started training about a day ago. It takes time to get into shape with this.” “Hey uh, how long are we actually going to be training?” “Maybe a year or two depends on how well-prepared we are.” “So long!” “Don’t worry kid. Now get to punching those bags again.” Lila went but before she did, “Hey, you think I can tie my hair?” Lyra went and tied her hair into a ponytail. “Let’s do this!” said Lila as she began her training once more. Lyra looked up. ‘When I started kid, I was just as slow as you. And heck, I didn’t even have ANYONE to help me train.’ Lyra closed her eyes and smiled. Letting the warm sun fill her face with warmth. ‘You’ll soon beat me, Lila. I just know you will.’
