I was born a princess. In royalty and gold. My gardens were full of flowers, every type, shape and color. If I wanted a book, I’d have it. I wanted a cake, I’d have it. Anything you’d wish to have, I would have. My name is Tikki, and I am the princess of the Land of Good Luck. I was born into this, and I didn’t know how to change it. I thought it was okay, until I began seeing that our populations kept growing in numbers and, in some cases, some people would argue over having power and wealth over one another. I was overwhelmed. When I went to school, it was a school made of gold, diamonds, and silver. The food came by butlers, we didn’t have homework.... It may seem fun, but really, it can get to be boring. For starters, it’s always the same thing, never something new.
One day, I was strolling through my village when I saw something that shouldn’t be there. “Sir,” I said quietly, “Who are you may I ask?” The man didn’t turn but stepped back. He was about to turn and leave when suddenly the man said, “Hey! You’re stealing my Camembert!” The mysterious man started running. And with my luck he tripped and fell, causing the bags of cheese to fall. He slowly got up and his cloak fell off. I lightly gasped. He had black, shaggy hair; baggy pants; his black shirt was ripped and open. I saw his ears and lightly backed up. It was the prince of the land of Bad Luck, Plagg! As he stood up, he passed by a shop and looked. The poor lady was trembling. He picked up a vase. “You have lovely art, ma’am.” He passed by another shop. “Hey, get out of here! You don’t belong!” A man said. Plagg touched his table. The entire shop turned black. “The reason I’m here is to talk with your princess. I won’t leave until I do.” He snapped his fingers and the shop crumbled to the floor. “M-my store. You.... you DESTROYED IT!!” Immediately, it got rebuilt. “Thank you, your majesty.” Plagg looked behind him. I was wearing a red blouse atop of my small shoulders and was also wearing a gown; a red gown with black spots. “P-princess?” I bowed. “Prince.” We looked at each other.
“What are you doing here?” I asked again. “I’m just...” He started to back up. “He’s stealing, that’s what!” Plagg looked at me with his green emerald-green eyes, while I looked at him with my ocean-blue ones. “Why, you don’t have to steal. I can give you what you need.” He looked at me and smiled. I covered my nose and mouth with a handkerchief. “Euh, sir, your breath really is bad.” “Hm? Oh, yeah, I know. It’s because of camembert.” “Camembert?” “Yeah, it’s this cheese that tastes really good but, um, it smells really bad.” “Oh, well alright. Would you like to take a shower? My quarters have a really grand bathroom.” “Wait. Bath? As in.... WATER?” “Well, yes. Why, however else do you think a shower should be taken? It takes water and soap. You’ll be clean in no time!” Eventually, he went and took a shower. We continued to talk as he said, “Heh, this was fun. Maybe next time, you should come over to the land of bad luck!” “Oh, we’ll see. We’ll see.” Sure enough, a couple of months I decided to visit him. I had grown fond of him, therefore, I started developing “feelings”, you may call them now, and started to miss him. When I arrived, I walked inside. The gates were half-broken and were iron black and rusted.
As I went inside through the village, I thought, ‘the place Plagg wanted me to meet him at was at a local bar....’ I walked through and I came across many people on the floor in nothing but torn rags. I gasped where I was from, people wore gold, silver, diamonds... I had never seen such peasants and poor people in such miserable conditions. I continued and then saw a young girl crying. She had her baby brother in her hands. I didn’t want people to know who I was, so I hid my face but went up to her. I placed my hand gently, caressing the face of the child and....... the boy opened his eyes. The girl looked up, but I was gone. I smiled as I was hiding in a corner watching, the girl hugged the boy tightly. I eventually found the bar and opened the door. As I quietly closed the door, I sighed in relief as nobody saw me. I looked around and eventually, I saw Plagg. He was looking around nervously and had a lady with him. I began to tear up. When he looked at my eyes, he stopped looking around. He told me to go over there, but I was beyond shaking. The lady left and I walked over. I saw her slightly glare at me as she walked to the counter. Apparently, the lady worked there. “Plagg.....” I said softly as my eyes tear up.
“W-who is she?” Plagg looked at me and then looked over to where the lady was standing. He turned around. “She’s just a friend, Tikki. Don’t worry.” “Just a friend?” “Yes, we were engaged but... not anymore. Especially since I must marry you to bring peace to our lands. She, LyraPaws, needs to understand that I did this to balance the bad and good luck. Also....” He paused for a quick moment. “Because I love you, Tikki. Please. *Let us rule this land as one, and forever we shall live, untied as one. *” When those words escaped his mouth I stood there, shocked. I couldn’t believe he felt the same way! He already told me about LyraPaws, because of all the times we hung out together. “Have you told her about.... us?” His ears perked. “Uh.... actually...” He rubbed the back of his messy-haired head. “I.... uh...... haven’t... yet! I will.... eventually...” I saw he was nervous. He went up to me and kissed my lips. We kept kissing until we felt a strong wind forcing us apart. “PLAGG!” I yelled. “TIKKI!” We tried to grab each other's hands, but it was too strong. Before we knew it, we turned into small.... I didn’t know what we were. I was a small, I think a ladybug, but I wasn’t a ladybug. I had a big head, and my arms and body were tiny. My hands looked like flippers and my fingers were gone.  I was a red creature with a big, black spot on my forehead, and cheeks. I also had my two antennae from before. Plagg, on the other hand, was a small cat. His head was as big as mine and his hands were small fussy paws. He still had his ears and his tail as well.  My earrings were in my hands and his ring was in his hands. They were HUGE! Then we heard something scratch our table. Plagg and I looked at the table. There were some words.
    They read,
         “Watch out, Princess.......
                 LyraPaws’ll be back.......
                                                    ----LP
After that situation, we decided to call ourselves kwamies. Kwamies were small creatures each with our own abilities. Until a couple of weeks ago, I had never seen or heard of LyraPaws since then. So now, knowing she’s against me and wanting to kill me, I need to have Marinette train harder than ever. Why? Because, no matter what. We WILL win against Lyra, even if it can change the way our lives are.... I just KNOW it.
