Chapter 9

-Corpse's POV-

Corpse shot up when he heard the door open and ran over and hugged Sy tight. He was heavily worried when he left. He saw Nino and hugged him tight as well, noticing a few bruises on him. Corpse frowned and looked him over and then looked Sy over. He listened as Sy explained what he felt he could without revealing too much about Lotus's personal life and trauma. Corpse sighed upset and hugged them both again. "I'm worried.." Nino mumbled as he hugged onto Corpse. Corpse nodded in understanding and took them both to the couch. He wrapped them both in blankets and got them both coffee and ice cream. Then he sat and listened to them talk about anything they wanted or needed to. "I hate seeing Lotus sad but literally nothing is worse than what I saw today... they had the same look that they did the day they stopped talking.. Their eyes were dull but full of fear and they just looked so broken and tired. I hate it so much. They deserve so much better than what they went through." Nino said angrily. Corpse hugged Nino tight, trying to calm him down. He could feel Nino shaking with anger and slight fear. Corpse held him close, wishing he could say anything to help make Nino feel better. He held Nino and turned on a movie.

"I hate that my brother had to see that and I hate that Lotus had to go through that. I wish I could fucking talk so I could help him feel better"

Corpse thought. He tightened his hug and Sy joined the hug as well. Corpse sighed once he realized Nino had fallen asleep. He looked over at Sy who was also a bit scared. "It really was pretty bad.." Sy mumbled, not looking away from the tv. Corpse looked over at him and nodded, feeling heavily upset and angry that all this happened. He kissed Sy's hand, watching tv til Sy eventually fell asleep. Corpse grabbed his phone and scrolled through twitter, confused when he saw Lotus sent him a link. He went into the messages confused.

Messages:

Lotus: Corpse!!!! LOOK WHAT I FOUND EKLJFIBG

Corpse: is this link gonna crash my phone or kill me?

Lotus: NONONO click it read the article!!

Corpse: alright

Corpse read through the article, his eyes widening. "I can get better?" he thought as he read through. It said there as a treatment that would help Corpse get his voice back but it would take time and lots of treatment. "LOTUS ILYSM THANK YOU WE GOTTA DO THIS BUT DON'T TELL SY I WANNA SURPRISE HIM!" Corpse texted Lotus and smiled happily. Corpse looked over at Nino who was zoned out in the tv. He tapped him and showed him the messages with Lotus. Nino read through, his eyes liting up. "You can get your voice back!" he whispered and hugged Corpse tightly. Corpse smiled and hugged back.
