Chapter 26: Crossing paths pt. 1

Setting: Marlo's heading out of town on assignment for her studies, so it's just going to be Jimmy in Columbus for the week.

It's been one week since the showdown dinner between Lucas and Jimmy and Marlo's still feeling upset.

Jimmy: "You're going where and for what again?" he said watching Marlo pack her suitcase

Marlo: "It's just for a week and I'm going to Jefferson Lab for a science expo."

Jimmy: "Is Lucas gonna be there at your nerd party?" He said jokingly

Marlo: "No, he isn't going to be there. You know, this whole you not liking Lucas charade is getting old. You need to apologize James!"

Whenever Marlo was upset with Jimmy, she referred to him as James.

Jimmy: "So you calling me James now?"

Marlo: "Apparently." she said while packing angrily

Jimmy stood up from his chair and walked over to Marlo.

Jimmy: "What's the big deal? You been acting weird, moody and distant since you met him. Is there something I should know?"

Marlo slammed her suitcase shut and turned around to Jimmy.

Marlo: "There is nothing going on between Lucas and I."

Jimmy: "Then what's the problem?"

Marlo: "The problem is that a friend of mine came over and you targeted him the entire time."

Jimmy: "I was just being protective."

Marlo: "You were being immature! You asked about his sex life and then offered to let him watch us have sex?! Do you know how embarrassing that was for me?!" she said getting frustrated

Jimmy grabbed Marlo's hand in an attempt to calm her down.

Jimmy: "I wasn't trying to embarrass you baby, I would never do that."

Marlo: "I know that much, but you can't start acting immature every single time I have a conversation with another guy."

Jimmy: "I know."

Marlo: "Do you though? I mean how would you like it if I acted like that whenever you talk to another girl?"

Jimmy: "Can you?" he said pulling Marlo in close

Marlo: "Jimmy, be serious please."

Jimmy: "Okay Okay. I'm sorry."

Marlo: "Thank you, so can you apologize now?" she said smiling up at Jimmy

Jimmy: "Do I have to?" he said disappointed

Marlo was thinking of a great punishment for Jimmy. Something that would really hit him in the gut.

Marlo: "Do it or absolutely no sexual activity for 2 weeks after I get back."

Jimmy: "Please, you can't even last that long" he said laughing

Marlo: "I'm glad you like to think so James." she said pulling out of his grasp

Jimmy: "You're such a slut for this dick, that you can't go without it, admit it."

Marlo: "Wanna take that chance?" she said crossing her arms

Jimmy: "Fine." he said rolling his eyes

Marlo: "Thank you baby." she said kissing Jimmy on the cheek

Jimmy rolled his eyes and sat back in his chair. He was upset because he knew that Marlo was strong willed and would be able to last through the bet, so that means he would have to apologize to Lucas.
