Chapter 40: Secrets and Lies pt. 3

Setting: The truth behind Alexis' family is closer to being revealed.

Ashleigh was filling in the gang about what happened when she called the number.

Lex: "What do you mean tomorrow morning?" she said frantically

Ash: "Are you dyslexic? Need me to repeat it? morning tomorrow!"

Marlo: "Great there goes my christmas plans", she said rolling her eyes

Jimmy: "Wait hold on what? You're gonna go?" he said surprised

Marlo: "Of course! Gotta be there for Lex."

Jimmy: "But-"

Marlo: "You don't gotta be there." she said rolling her eyes

Jimmy: "No no. I'm coming"

Ash: Bet that's not the first time you've said that."

Jimmy: "Bet that something you never heard B say."

Ash: "Oh please."

Marlo: "Stop it!"

Jimmy: "See this is why I'm going. Can't leave you alone with this beast." he said motioning to Ashleigh

Ash: "You just jealous cause I can grow facial hair unlike you baby face."

Jimmy: "Excuse me! Baby face who?!" he said stroking his chin hair.

Marlo: "Seriously!?"

Marlo was over the silly bickering between Jimmy and Ashleigh. It was funny at first, but it started to get annoying. The gang finished discussing the events before returning to their homes.

The next day, everyone met up at Olivia's where they were greeted by a black limo.

Driver: "Is this everyone?"

Jimmy: "Yes 4 adults and 1 dog." he said petting Ashleigh on the head

Ash: "Dang Marlo he just called you a dog. You gonna let him do that?"

Marlo: "I don't think he's talking about me" she said laughing

Ash: "what you mean?"

Jimmy: "Don't worry about it."

Driver: "Shall we then?" He said opening the door

They head to the airport to were they are awaited by a private jet.

Ash: Are you loaded Liv?! cause this is nice, girllll!!"

Olivia: "Tha-"

Ash: "Wouldn't mind having one of these." She said interrupting Olivia

As they were boarding the jet, Jimmy made another Joke about Ashleigh.

Jimmy: "Sir do you have sleeping pills for animals?" he said pointing to Ashleigh

Ash: "Don't worry Marlo sleeps just fine on planes." she said laughing

Lex: "Wow." she said laughing

Marlo: "Ash!!"

The gang took their seats on the jet and got settled in for the flight. A little while later, Ashleigh started to complain.

Ash: "Are we there yet?!" She said complaining

Jimmy: 'If you're bored go open the emergency door and stick your tongue out."

Ash: "I've had enough of you." She said rolling her eyes

Jimmy: "No you haven't. You still over there looking like a lopsided santa."

Ash: "Santa should have put you on the naughty list."

Jimmy: "He should have put Jesus on there cause he didn't place edges on you big ass head." he said while laughing

Ash: "Better have that same energy when Lucas almost takes your girl again."

Marlo overheard Ashleigh's low blow and instantly started yelling.

Marlo: "ASHLEIGH RENEE GRACE!"

Ash: "Uh oh. Not the government name." she said nervously

Marlo and Ashleigh started arguing over the comment about Lucas with Jimmy interjecting occasionally. Meanwhile, Olivia and Alexis are having a conversation of their own.

Olivia: "Wow." She sighed sadly

Lex: "You feel okay?" she said grabbing her hand

Olivia: "No, haven't been home in years." she said looking up at the lights

Lex: "Well none of that matters now."

Olivia: "I know-"

Lex: "And you're not alone you have me, Marlo, Ash.."

Alexis turned around to Jimmy and Ashleigh still arguing. Marlo was upset, so she wasn't speaking.

Lex: "You have me and Marlo." she said while laughing

Olivia: "That's true." she said with a faint smile

Lex: "Come here."

Alexis and Olivia shared a reassuring kiss. Alexis hoped it would ease Olivia's nerves about returning home.

Marlo: "Awwww!" she said smiling widely

Ash: "ewwww!" She said jokingly

Jimmy: "What are you 5?" He said getting annoyed

Ash: "You know what-"

Before Ashleigh could respond, she was interrupted by the pilot announcing the landing over the speaker.

Pilots: "We have arrived."

Lex: "You ready?" she said grabbing Olivia's hand

Ash: "I am" she said getting excited and yelling over Olivia

Jimmy: "Nobody asked you." He said shoving Ashleigh

Ash: "Yes they did."

Jimmy: "Who?"

Ash: "Them." she said pointing to Alexis

Jimmy: "Did your parents drop you when you was a baby?"

Ash: "How you know about that?" she said confused

Marlo: "Lucky guess, now both of you shut up!"

Olivia: "Yes I am." she said smiling at Alexis

Lex: "Ok let's go."

Alexis let Olivia lead the way off the jet. Marlo went up to Alexis and offered some kind words amid everything that might unfold

Marlo: "We're here for you guys." She said hugging Alexis

Jimmy: "Yeah."

Ash: "Right."

The most important thing Alexis needed was support. She definitely had a great system behind her, but she wondered if it was enough to withstand what she might find out.
