"Kita if you keep pacing like that yer going to make a hole."

"I can't make a hole. We're literally up in heaven."

Aran sighs, "It's an expression. Just- just calm down, everything should go just fine."

"I don't know," Kita says with his own sigh, "You heard him, he liked the moon."

"Kita... yer making this a big ordeal."

"It's weird! It feels like something will go wrong."

"What could go wrong?" A new voice says interrupting.

"Sir- Kuroo" Kita corrects himself, "Atsumu likes the moon."

Kuroo looks at him like he lost a few screws. "O..okay?"

"Don't you find that a bit weird? No where in the file does he say he likes the moon."

"Right....and it doesn't say he likes bread but he works at a bakery."

"Look at the bigger picture" Kita says with a huff, "Why would he like the moon?"

Kuroo looks at Aran and then back at him.

"Is this a trick question? He's able to like anything."

"He can't like the moon."

"Kita calm down" Aran softly says.

"I just don't understand how you both cannot see it," Kita says with an empty laugh, "Watch what's going to happen tonight and you'll see."

Kuroo looks at Kita with a bit of disdain.

"Look newbie, this is your first person. I don't know who you think you are to tell me that the file is wrong. We are always. I repeat, always right."

Kita looks up at him challenging, "Well not this time."

Kuroo looks like he's about to yell at him before he gets an idea. He gives Kita a smirk and hops onto a chair.

"Attention. May I have your attention please. Our new member Kita here believes that our files are wrong."

The people began to murmur and look at Kita with a bit of disgust.

"As you know we listen to every complaint or suggestion that comes to us, so here's what we're all going to do."

Kuroo turns back to Kita with a sly smile. "Let's have an official bet."

The crowd gasps. Official bets are typically only used when someone wants to take a job of the higher up and this never is the case. Usually the people that issue the challenges lose and suffer humiliation until they decide to just live another life to hide their face.

"Don't do it" Aran hisses.

"You know what happens to people who challenge or accept the bet. Kita we just started, don't lose all of this when you have it."

Kita turns to Aran and gives him a small smile, "Trust me."

Aran freezes. The last words he said to Kita before their death.

"I accept yer challenge, '' Kita says defiantly.

Kuroo gives him a small sneer, "Everyone stop what you're doing. We're all going to watch what happens from the file."

"Atsumu." Kita says with a glare.

"His name is Miya Atsumu. He's not a number or a thing in a file. We're going to be watching the way he lives his life."

"And frankly if he were here. Ya wouldn't meet his expectations."

A day before the ball.

"Letters?" Komori says, confused.

"You want them to bring letters to a ball?"

"Yes," Sakusa says simply.

"But-"

"Wait, I think I know," Suna says interrupting.

"Is it for them to say whatever they want to you, your majesty? With no need for you to show yourself to them or make it a big deal?"

Sakusa gives him a smile, "You know you could take Komori's job."

"HE'S A PRINCE. Kiyo I'm hurt."

"I like the idea though. That way you can enjoy the party like everyone else. Get their input eye to eye and no one will know it's you."

"Right."

"But won't they be disappointed to know you're not there."

"We'll announce that I am," Sakusa says, crossing his arms thinking.

"We'll say the king is there but does not want to be seen. They made the ball masquerade theme too, so I doubt anyone will care."

"I told ya he was up to something Samu" Atsumu says with a grumble.

"Why else do ya think he'd make us bring letters? Because he doesn't want anyone to see him! He's ugly. Case closed."

Osamu huffs, setting the cake down on the table and readjusting his mask. "Sometimes I pray feeling so apologetic I stole yer brain cells in the womb."

"Samu, I can't be wrong. He won't even be there."

"OR like a normal person would think. There are too many people for him to greet and he just wants to enjoy the party."

"HA" Atsumu says with a laugh, "Him? Enjoying something? Have ya seen his face in all his paintings? All he always has is a damn glare."

Osamu looks at him amused. "I thought the one in the paintin wasn't him."

Atsumu stutters, "Ya know what I mean."

"At this point I think yer obsessed with him" Osamu continues to tease.

Atsumu scoffs, "Why would I be obsessed with the king, I have my expectations."

"Yea? Then why the hell do ya love the moon?"

Atsumu freezes.

"Just enjoy the ball Tsumu. Enjoy a thing in life for once. Even if it's not up to yer expectations there's still beauty to it. There's still beauty to it all."

With that Osamu leaves. Leaves to go find his prince.

"Everything going according to plan?" Kuroo says with a smirk.

"He loves the moon." Kita says simply.

"But everything is going to plan. So I guess I win."

"Ahh" Kita says with a wry smile, "The night hasn't ended. Plus. He's yet to see the moon."
