"A masquerade?" Sakusa says, confused.
"Yeah, I already gave the go ahead."
"They could've chosen something else." Sakusa says while crossing his hands.
"Kiyo, there's only two days left. Right now they're doing a miracle setting this up at this late notice. You know these things usually take months to plan."
"I'm not saying they should change it," Sakusa says, shaking his head.
"I'm just wondering why they chose that. They could've done a garden theme."
"Kiyo-"
"Or a starry night"
"Ki-"
"Or an enchanted forest-."
"Kiyoomi" Komori interrupts.
"They chose masquerade for you."
Sakusa whips his head, "What? For me?"
"Yes," Komori says, smiling.
"And they did choose black and gold, with a bit of silver. They figured you don't like purple."
"So why-"
"They said, 'in case his majesty wants to keep hidden. We can still say our thank you and he can feel comfortable.'"
Sakusa's face turns into a small smile.
"Yeah a masquerade sounds good."
.
.
.
"Tacky. Masquerade is tacky as hell." Atsumu says with a grumble while making Osamu's mask.
Samu sighs, "No one is asking you to go Tsumu."
"'m jus sayin, out of every damn theme in the world, and ya choose masquerade?"
"It's to make him comfortable in his own party, Tsumu."
"Or for him to hide his face because the one at the party won't be the king."
Osamu sighs once more, "Are you still on that or are you mad they didn't choose starry night?"
"Both" Atsumu mutters.
"You and the moon" Osamu says rolling his eyes, "I'll never get why yer obsessed with a rock."
Atsumu scoffs, "Remember who's making yer mask, one wrong move and you'll look ugly for yer prince."
"I love you, I love you, we'll even leave early to take a view at the moon."
"Shut up" Atsumu says with a laugh, "Here it's done, I even added a bit of the flowers he gave you the other day."
"You think he'll notice me?"
"If he doesn't, he doesn't deserve ya."
"Sometimes yer expectations aren't that bad."
Atsumu looks at him and smiles, "Then ya know why I love the moon."
.
.
.
Aran looks at the file, "It seems everything is going in plan."
"Not for me," Kita says confused.
"Why?"
"I don't know why he likes the moon."
"What?"
"You heard him right? Him saying he loves the moon?"
"Yeah...but I thought it was because of his expectations."
"That's the thing. The moon shouldn't fix his expectations."
"No?"
"No." Kita repeats.
"The moon is cracked. It has holes. And some places are too dark with no sun shining in. The opposite of what he thinks he deserves."
"So why does he like the moon?"
"...other than that, is it still going to plan?"
"Yes." Kita says again looking at the file. "He's supposed to go with Osamu to the ball, talk bad about it, see Osamu happy and quietly leave."
"That's it?"
"That's it."
Aran then thinks, "I think we'll just have to see. But you heard what Kuroo said. Everything is going to go according to plan."
Kita softly mutters while looking at the file, "Let's hope so."
.
.
.
"A fox?" Osamu says, looking at Atsumu's mask.
"Cute right?"
"Tsumu, it's orange."
"And?"
"The theme is black and gold."
Atsumu scoffs, "It's not my fault these people don't have taste."
"Tsumu."
"I'm wearing it, it's cute"
Osamu sighs, "Fine."
With that, the next day is the ball.
