tommy's pov
'well, this was tiring,' i say as i walk into my new home full of boxes of my old things. after finally becoming an adult, i moved out of my old house, away from my abusive parents, and found a quiet place which i can now call home.
my home isn't much, but it's better than what i used to live in so, it'll do.
it's a two-storey house in a field of different types of flowers, and when i look out of the balcony in my bedroom at sunset, i can quite clearly see the sun slowly move out of view. my home is also isolated from other houses so there aren't any neighbours nearby.i sighed as i fell onto my bed, exhausted from having moved a ton of boxes all day.
i looked up at the ceiling of my bedroom and started to get lost in my thoughts of what boxes i'm to open up the next day.
my room was extremely relaxing to just be in. it had a sort of vintage colour theme to it as well. the ceiling and walls were a calming, pastel shade of brown, while the floor had a comfortable and big, faux fur rug. there were about 7 small boxes in the corner which were filled with books, a lamp and some other stuff that i'd have to unbox tomorrow.
before i knew it, the sun had already set and it was turning night. i checked my phone to see what time it was, and apparently it was 7.49pm. it was quite an early time to sleep at, but with all of the things i have done today, my body wouldn't move. even though i hadn't had dinner yet, i decided to just sleep. i set the alarm on my phone to 8.15am, turned off the lights and got cozy in my bed.
- the next day -
'ughhhh,' i said as my alarm started going off.
i got up and rubbed my eyes sleepily, just to see another pair of eyes staring back.
'AHH-' i screamed as i fell off my bed and looked at the abnormal creature in my room.
the creature didn't seem scary, maybe a bit frightened of the loud noise i made but other than that, it almost seemed harmless. it- or he, had two different coloured eyes, one green and one red. his hair was quite literally golden, and his skin was half white, and half black. he had two small and blunt horns sticking out of his head and had weird, somewhat cow-ish ears. one thing that i only noticed after i fell was that he also had a tail that looked similar to a lions.'w-what are you?' i asked. he didn't reply.
'what's your n-name?' i asked again. he started to crawl closer to me. once he was about a foot away from me, he sat down and muttered something.
'i didn't hear you, could you repeat that please?' i said.
'm-my name is Ranboo,' he said, smiling a bit as he spoke.

my father had told me when i was a kid that every one-thousand years, a portal would appear. it wouldn't appear just anywhere, but in our very home.
my father, mother, younger brother and i, are the only people in our universe and we all live for around a 500 years each. although, for us, every 8 years, is equivalent to 1 year in human time. this portal opened just yesterday at midnight, and will open again after 6 months in the other universe [our universe].my parents originally wanted both me and my younger brother, Tubbo, to go through the portal, but Tubbo was too scared of what would be on the other side so he decided to stay...
...and that brings us to the present.'m-my name is Ranboo.'
'oh,' the other being said.
the other being had a beautiful shade of gold hair which is apparently called 'blonde'.you see, my grandfather had once gone through the portal to this universe and learned the ways of the beings that lived there. him, knowing that Tubbo and i would most likely, one day go through that same portal, taught us about the beings- or rather, the 'humans' that lived there.
the human also had large blue eyes and somewhat pale skin. he looked really pretty if i was to be honest.
'oh,' the human said, looking a bit more relaxed.
'my name's Tommy,' he said, grinning.'how old are you?' Tommy said, after a bit of awkward silence. 'i'm 17,' he added.
'in my world, i'm 147 years old. but in your world, i'm counted as 18.' i replied.
'o-oh, what exactly is your world like, if you don't mind me asking?' he asked.
i explained to him that it's mostly like the world that he's currently living in, maybe a bit smaller with lesser beings on it. i also explained how my world has supposedly only my family of 4 and will most likely go extinct if we don't find any other people soon.'i'm sorry.'
'what are you sorry for?' i asked him, confused.
'i- i don't really know.' he replied, laughing.
i laughed along with him.tommy's pov
he looks cute when he laughs, i thought to myself.
'well then, i'm going to go and eat some food now, do you want to have something?' i asked Ranboo, feeling my face heat up slightly.
'sure,' he said, smiling.
