Holy shit, this is horrifying.

I stopped in front of the door, and listened for a moment, my entire body shaking in fear, but bravely staying where I stood.

My hand slowly rose, and lurched forward, and gently clasped the golden handle of the black door.

And turned.

The moment my hand caused the knob to make the smallest of sounds, it triggered a reaction behind the door.

A deep growl echoed from the room and slithered to my senses, making my subconscious scream at me to abandon ship.

"Get. Out."

Riveted to the spot, I didn't dare make a move as I heard the skeleton behind the door hiss and move around the room.

I waited until he stopped moving and snarling, and reached for the knob again.

Grasping it tight and slowly opening the door, a deeper, more malicious hiss made me shiver.

I wouldn't falter however, I've gotten this far already.

I peeked through the crack of the door and slowly pulled it open, only seeing a void of pitch-black.

"I FUCKING told you to stay AWAY, DREAM!"

The snarl intensified, and a sudden cerulean eye flashed from the darkness, something darting forward from the nothingness.

A shrill yelp escaped my throat, my body stiffened and I shut my eyes tight, expecting sharp pain.

But nothing came.

My lavender eye barely opened, quietly gasping as I saw a firm tentacle directly in front of me, the viscous ebony of it glistening from the light leaking from the open door.

"Wha-" I heard a stunned mumble from the blackness, and the murderous intent I could see was replaced with shock.

The thorn receded into the room, and I watched the wide eye lift higher, and stalk forward.

I was petrified, but I can't show that fear right now, instead I boldly stood at the foot of the room.

Wrath stopped right at the part where the light was seeping in, and I looked up at the glowing eye towering above me, being the only thing I could see.

"Wha... What are y-you...?"

"Doing here...?" I finished the sentence for him hesitantly.

There was silence.

"I could've killed you."

His voice deepened, and I couldn't tell if it was in rage or some sort of worry.

My hands raised to fumble with each other, my fingers swirling around each other as I stared at the eye. "Haha... Yeah, I-I guess you could've...!"
