Two.

Are we just going to be running blindly around hostile territory? What if we run into someone?

One.

What if that someone is somehow stronger than Gluttony? What if I'm left with them?

Zero.

Do I need to hurt, or even kill someone to save another?

Blood pooled around the mighty Sin's ginourmous boots, sticking to the pale brown leather and dirtying it with it's dark shade of red, some small splinters sticking as well.

His metal bat swung up and over his broad shoulder, spattered with the blood of the previously violent and enraged monster.

My dilated purple eyes followed a vibrant streak of blood that slowly fell down his cloth jacket. I took a shaky step back at the sight of the dark blood.

Why did he kill this person?

Gluttony and I had leapt out of the truck, running as fast as we could to the target building, but had to take a detour to a side building when a wave of South gangsters turned the corner to fight off the two remaining triplets behind us. Luckily, they didn't spot us even though the Sin was quite loud when breaking down the door.

We stumbled through the door and slammed ourselves against the nearest wall that could cover our respective bodies to hide as best as we could, hearing the uncountable number of feet storm past us, not a single one wondering why a door had been smashed apart.

My soul pounded heavily against my chest at the adrenaline coursing through me, my eyes fluttering open to see a perfectly clean entryway, leading to a crossways going to several different rooms.

It was a large pristine house, white walls adorned with golden decor, fur carpeting, and expensive furniture that you could suffocate in. Yet the delicate haughtiness of the home was completely ruined by the new smoking bullet holes in one side of the house, a couple pieces of glass from a large chandelier broken on a carpet below.

Gluttony scoffed at the sight of it, walking in front of me to get a better view himself. "Rich shits deserve their own fancy karma."

"Who's there?" The almost fake-sounding voice rang in our ears and stopped our souls instantly in shock.

Both of us froze in place, turning our heads to listen to what the voice was saying and where it was coming from.

We heard muttered swears and a loud snap followed by a clatter from upstairs, like something heavy was ripped off another object. "Don't try shit, or I'll kill you!"

It was an enemy.

A frown quickly appeared on the large skeleton's face, his claws gripping the handle of his bat as he stiffened his hulking body for battle, while I stumbled back, my soul racing once again in fear. My hands instinctively shot to my arms.
