It's been a year since Nini Salazar-Roberts disappeared from the public eye. No one had seen or heard from her since what went down between her and Ricky Bowen. Throughout the year, Ricky did all he could to forget about her, continuing to make music. But in the back of his mind she was still all he could think about. Ricky Bowen had written a song called "The Lucky One" inspired by his relationship with Nini, and how she's the lucky one for being able to escape the music industry before it was too late for her. It wasn't too obvious that the song was about her unless you knew of the situation and what went down. Every moment he spent with Ashley Carpenter just reminded him of how he hurt Nini. He tried all he could to forget about what happened with the young brunette girl but it was no use, she never left his mind no matter how much he wished she would so he could move on with his life.
