tw: bullying, physical fights!

𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑 way through the hallway filled with students. She pushes past them, wanting nothing more than just to reach her locker. Her hands are gripping on the straps of her bag so hard her knuckles have almost turned white.

Finally, after a few moments which felt like three billion lightyears, Sage finally reaches her locker. She dials in her combination and keeps in her books, while pulling out the required ones. A heavy hearted sigh escapes her lips, blowing her ginger hair right in front of her lips.

Sage's thoughts get interrupted when she hears the sound of kicks and punches. Her face turns into a frown when she hears a few groans accompany the kicks and punches. She begins to make her way through the overcrowded corridor, following the noise. Finally, she reaches the source of all the sound.

Three boys, specifically the three jocks - Ivan, Noah and Charles - are laughing as they begin to walk away from the poor boy they bullied, who is lying down on the ground. No one, absolutely no one comes to help the boy. Sage rushes to him and bends down at his level. She notices he has a bloody nose, and his eyes are shut close in pain.

"Oh my god are you okay?" Sage asks, her voice slightly shaking due to her worry.

"Besides having a possible broken nose and my butt hurting like hell," he groans, "I'm dandy why do you ask?" He gives an ear-to-ear grin, which makes Sage question how can he even smile being in the situation he is.

"You most certain are not dandy," She says, mimicking him, "seeing that you have a possible broken nose and a butt hurting like hell! Come on, get up, let me take you to the nurse." Sage lets her hand out for the boy, who grabs onto it. Sage pulls him up, making him release a few groans during the process. Once he gets up, they both begin to walk to the nurse's office. Well, except the boy, who is limping instead of walking.

Sage leads him to the nurse's office while the boy limps with his hands gripping onto his nose. They reach the office, and Sage takes him inside.

"Well well well," the nurse, Orion says, looking from the top of his thin spectacles, "what do we have here?"

"A boy with a possible broken nose and his butt hurting like hell," Sage says, repeating the boy's words.

"Come here kid," Orion says. The boy sits next to Orion's table and removes his hand from the top of his nose. Orion inspects his nose for a few seconds, before nodding to himself.

"It's not broken my boy, it's just bleeding. Don't worry, I'll fix you right up." Not removing his gaze from the boy's nose as he continues to work on it, he says, "young lady you might get tired standing there. Why don't you sit down?"

"Yes sir," Sage sits on one of the seats kept near to the various beds in the office. A few moments later the boy gets up from his chair, and Sage notices a band-aid resting on top of his nose.

"Thank you so much sir," Sage smiles at Orion.

"It's no problem young lady," Orion nods, "this one right here isn't coming to my office for the first time today. River," he says, looking at the boy, "steer clear of the bullies as much as you can. They will take every opportunity to hurt you. Seeing you hurt gives them a sense of satisfaction. I know you're very strong, River. Now go off before you miss any of your class my boy."

"Yes sir," The boy, whose name is River, says. He and Sage come out of the office and continue to walk back to the lockers. River still isn't able to walk properly, but he isn't really limping anymore.

"You get bullied often?" Sage asks, looking at him as they walk.

"Yeah, but it's alright," River shrugs his shoulders.

"No River, getting bullied is not right. Nurse Orion is right, you need to steer clear of them as often as you can." Sage says. "Why do they bully you so much?"

"I don't know, I guess it's because I am weak in their eyes. I don't have muscles like them, and I cannot bench press like they can, thank you very much. But I don't let their bullying affect me a lot. Sure, it may leave me in a quite horrible physical state at times, but their bullying can never kill the science loving nerd inside me." River says. Just as he finishes speaking, they both reach at the lockers.

"I have to go and attend my Biology class now." He says. "You're an angel for helping me today. Thank you..."

"Sage, my name is Sage. And don't worry much about it." She smiles at him.

River nods.

"See you 'round Sage."
