College is the worst

You're a junior, trying your hardest to get through your courses, but it's impossible. You're already halfway done with college, but it still feels like a drag. You're standing outside of your classroom, talking to your friend Seulgi and ignoring the rest of the world. You don't like your acting class, but you deal with it. Acting for film and television, an elective you had to take to correspond with your major. You shake your head, locking eyes with the girl in front of you.

"Do you think Mrs. Harlan is leaving anytime soon?" you ask, raising a brow. "She's been pregnant since the Stone Age," Seulgi whines, "she better be." Something you and Seulgi agree on: Mrs. Harlan is extremely rude. Maybe that's just the hormones or maybe that's just her personality or maybe even both, but she made acting the worst experience ever. You dread this class even though you have it with your best friend.

You hear giggles all around you, so you look up. All the girls are blushing and looking down the hall. You look down it as well, and your heart stops. There's a man walking towards the classroom, a little under average height and he seems to be only a few years older than you if not the same age. He has black hair, but from here it almost looks like he has brownish, maybe orangish tints in his hair. Plump lips, smooth face, slim waist, and thick thighs. Okay now you see why they were all giggling. He's attractive.

He doesn't pay any attention to the girls trying to ask for his name, he simply walks towards you. You look at Seulgi, who looks back in confusion. However, right when you think he's about to talk to you, he ducks inside the class. You let out a small breath of relief. The last thing you need right now is to embarrass yourself in front of the new student. After a minute of processing what just happened, Seulgi turns to you. "I guess we should go inside now," Seulgi mutters, and you nod in agreement. You enter the class, then, your eyes widen in amazement.

'Mr. Park' is spelled out on the board.

You watch as the same attractive man sets down the chalk, clearing his throat and turning around. "My name is Mr. Park, Mrs. Harlan is on her maternity leave, so for the next few weeks I will be your substitute," he explains, his voice low and smooth. He looks a little young for a teacher, but then again Mrs. Harlan has been teaching since she was twenty-two, so who are you to judge? He looks around the same age.

"Please take a seat," he says, and you and Seulgi are quick to oblige. The rest of the class does the same, and you've never been more ready to pay attention in your life. Finally someone who isn't Mrs. Harlan. Maybe he can restore your sanity. You'll get tired of hearing the girls snicker and do drastic things to get his attention, but as long as he's professional, everything should be fine.

"According to my schedule we're down at the stage on Wednesday's, Thursday's, and Friday's, correct?" The class nods in-sync. "Good. Looks like Monday's and Tuesday's are going to be awful then." The class chuckles. He's not wrong, today is Monday, and sitting in a classroom makes you want to vomit. You love performing and touching the equipment. College is supposed to be about hands-on experience, not sitting in class all day. You got your core classes done in freshman and sophomore year. Yeah, you still have to take some but they relate to your major now which you're grateful for.

"Ohh I came right in time for the interesting subject... working with a budget." You sigh, picking up on his sarcasm. Again - you agree with him. "I didn't know I was working with accountants. Alright, let's open our textbooks up to page thirty three, follow along as I read please." You open your book, noticing the first paragraph and immediately groaning. This is going to be a long day...

~After Class || 10:00~

After the entire hour class went by, you stand. You have time until your next class since this is only your 9 a.m., you have another at 1. Yeah, you're a lucky goose who has one class in the morning the rest sandwiched in during the late afternoon and evening. You're still in the classroom, Mr. Park sitting behind his desk and reading through the curriculum. He seems like a nice guy, he's charismatic and funny. Clearly he's meant for the job.

You let your mind wander to your best friend, Yoongi. He normally comes and greets you. Seulgi left already, something about wanting to meet up with her 'friend' who you know is just her crush, Hoseok. You're friends with Hoseok too. And Jungkook... and Taehyung. There's also two others you've talked to here and there, and one you've never met. Namjoon, Jin, and the one you've never met is Jimin.

Yoongi steps inside, lighting up upon seeing you. "Y/n!" he calls. He's normally a little emotionless on the outside, but around the boys and you, he's a ray of sunshine, almost as much as Hoseok. You approach him and smile, now realizing that it's just you, Yoongi, and Mr. Park in the room. The new man looks up, and him and Yoongi lock eyes. "Yoongi?" he asks, and your best friend nods. Yoongi looks at him in amazement, "what are you doing here?" "Are you complaining?" "No but - what?"

Mr. Park stands and walks over with a chuckle, embracing the man. "It's been a while, how have you been?" Mr. Park asks, and Yoongi shrugs. "Your student has been keeping me sane," he grumbles, motioning to you. "In that case, it's a pleasure to meet you." He holds out his hand, and you shake it. "Jimin." Your eyes widen, "Y/n." You drop his hand, "wait, this is Jimin?" Jimin laughs, "they talk about me?" "All the time! They talked about you being in school and job hunting!" Jimin slowly nods, "I want to be a dance teacher, and that's what I'll be next year." "Oh yeah, Mr. Tira is retiring this year, right?" you ask, mentioning the current dance teacher.

Jimin hums, "so this substitute position is like... a test." "The teacher is taking a test, I'll be damned. And here I thought you were lazy," you tease. "You thought I was lazy? Me?" he asks, looking offended. You smirk, "'open your textbooks blah blah blah let me read this so I can go home'." "I did not say that." Yoongi rolls his eyes and grabs your hand. "Ready to go?" "Woah woah you're going somewhere without me?" Jimin asks. "We always eat breakfast together," you say with a pout. Jimin gets shy, which slightly surprises you. "Do you uh... mind if I join you? My next class isn't until like eleven thirty."

You and Yoongi share a look. "I'd love to meet the mysterious boy who captured Yoongi's heart. So I say sure." Jimin waggles his eyebrows at Yoons, "I stole your heart, huh?" "Oh my God let's go," Yoongi groans, pulling you out of the room. Jimin follows behind closely, then groans. "Oh wait, I forgot my phone hang on." You watch as he walks back inside the classroom, leaving you alone with Yoongi. "So... after all this time, I finally know who Jimin is." Yoongi nods, looking at you, "be careful around him, you hear me?" You furrow your brows, "what? Why? Isn't he your frie-" "I love Jimin like a brother, don't get me wrong, but he's a massive flirt. A massive one." You roll your eyes, "you really think I would-" "Where we heading?" Jimin asks innocently, walking out of the room. Yoongi gives you a pleading look, then shoots Jimin his signature gummy smile. "Anywhere."
