Zoe's POV
I looked out the window of the taxi as it pulled into the entrance of Disney property. I couldn't believe it. I was going to be able to work, and live, in the happiest place on Earth.
The taxi driver followed the signs to the student apartments, which were located at the back of the property. He let me out at the front entrance of the apartment buildings. I payed him and got my suitcases out of the trunk. I walked into the lobby, and only a few people were here, because the official moving day for students was two days away. I had gotten here a few days early, hoping to be the first one in our dorm.
I approached a lady who was probably our dorm monitor. She gave me my information and I hopped into an elevator. I reached the third floor, and started hauling my bags down the corridor. The student apartments were surprisingly cute. Each door was a different bright color. Room 368 was quite a hike from the elevator. I pulled out my key and unlocked the door, stepping in nervously. I looked to my left, and saw a kitchen. I looked around and it was stocked with food.
I doubted that the Disney Management left that much food for us. I looked over at the living room area, and it looked like someone had been decorating. I went down a hallway, and heard pages flipping. I followed the sound of soft music and pages turning past a bare bedroom, a bathroom, and then stopped at the last bedroom. I peered in quietly.
I was shocked by how cute it was. The walls were painted a pale grey-blue, and her furniture was cream-colored, vintage-y and feminine. Her bedspread was a bohemian-looking floral pattern of lilac, plum, light blue, and green. She had a 3 panel mirrored vanity, a chair, and a small bedside table with a lamp, and there were pictures and decorations hanging on the wall. There were also plants in cute pots, and plants in small vases of water hung on the walls. In the corner was a dress form. But what shocked me most were the books. They were everywhere. Books on the floor, books on shelves on the walls, books in bins, books in baskets. I realized that she must've ridden horses, judging by a few pictures on her wall and some of the decor I'm the room. The vibe I got from the room was like... a really chic library.
I quietly knocked on the door. The girl, who had been sitting on her bed reading (turned away from me), turned around. She had brown hair with lighter brown highlights, it was a little longer than shoulder length. She was wearing a little bit of makeup, including subtle winged eyeliner. She had striking blue green eyes and was wearing the cutest outfit.
"Hi!" She exclaimed. "I'm Leah. You must be one of my new roommates!" She smiled and sounded genuinely excited.
"Yeah! Nice to meet you Leah! I'm Zoe."
Leah smiled. "Well Zoe. It sounds to me like we need to get to know each other over a bowl of popcorn and a chick flick."
"That sounds great." I responded. I had a feeling we were going to be insta-besties.

Authors Note 8/13/13- Like I said before, I'm in the process of editing this story, adding pictures, and just generally making the story better. To the right is a picture of the room that Leah's room is based upon, I just changed it up a bit to fit what I wanted. Thanks for reading!
