Chapter eleven

„Katie!" Oh god please not now.

I turned around and saw my aunt a few feet away from me. Normally she wasn't this tall but she was wearing high heels so it seemed like she was.

„Auntie, what are you doing here?" I asked her confused.

„I could ask you the same thing honey, why aren't you in class?" She started walking towards me.

Okay, I could lie or say the truth but either way, she would go to Robert probably.

„I was about to go to the principal." I smiled.

She raised her brow „Katie Luss did you do anything?"

I was about to say something but then I heard footsteps right behind me „Miss Luss, I searched- Oh you must be Katie's aunt nice to meet you!" Robert stretched out his hand and shook my aunt's.

This is going great, they like each other.

„It's nice to meet you too mister..."

„Downey, but you can call me Robert!" He smiled.

Is he flirting with my aunt? What an asshole! If it wasn't for my aunt I would've gone to him and slapped him.

„So auntie, why are you here?" I interrupt them.

„Maybe we should talk about that somewhere else right Carol." Robert smiled at my aunt. Wow, they are fast with the names.

We made our way to Robert's office and I'm starting to feel uncomfortable because I want to know why she is there. As we entered the office I gave Robert a glare who just looked at me innocently.

When we were all set my aunt started to speak „So, Katie I have to take you back to Australia honey."

My heart started to beat faster and I hold my breath. I wanted to stay here. Is this going to be the end of the tangled relationship with Robert?

„No! Why would you say that!" I stood up „This is the first school I'm not getting kicked out in the first week. And I like the teachers I even have friends-"

Robert coughed and I looked at him like I'm going to kill him when this conversation is over.

„Her grades got better Carol. She has an A+ in English in History and in...Math." His words shocked me and my aunt who let out a gasp.

My aunt looked at me „I'm gonna think about it as long as I'm staying here."

My eyes lit up „But where are you gonna stay?"

„In my apartment you idiot!" She said laughing.

My head shot to Robert, he was already looking at me nervously. My aunt stood up and went to the door. She said goodbye and left the office. We sat there quietly for a few seconds until I spoke „Can I sleep at your place today, I don't want to sleep with my aunt in one bed."

He sighed „Of course, but you have to get your stuff."

I nodded and went to my next class. After school, I drove immediately to my place to get my stuff. I told my aunt I was sleeping at a friend's house and she was ok with it. Halfway to my car, I noticed that I don't know Robert's address or his phone number, So I drove back to school where gladly his car was still standing. I parked right next to his car and exited mine. Right when I wanted to open the doors, they flew open. If I didn't take a step back they would've hit me. I stumbled back.

„Katie!" Robert yelled as he grabbed my waist to stop me from falling.

Once I came to myself I looked at him „Wow! I have a deja vu!"
