Double date - December 2021

For most of the morning you had been watching Christmas movies. You'd made yourself a hot chocolate and found your favourite blanket. There was a peaceful lul through town and you hadn't received an emergency call from Scott, Stiles or Lydia for twenty seven hours. You were taking full advantage of that fact.

A soft knock on the door made you pause your movie as you pushed your blanket off your legs and set your hot chocolate down on the side table. You listened and there was a knock again. Hurrying to get up and go to the door you opened it and peeked out into the cold at the person on your doorstep.

"Brett?" You said in surprise. You hadn't known Brett knew where you lived. He knew the street because he'd once walked home with Liam and your house was on the way. But they'd waved you off from the end of the street.

"Hi!" He said cheerfully and held out a gift. "I got you a gift."

"Oh! Come in. I'm sorry. I didn't get you anything." You admitted as you let him inside.

"Oh that's ok. I just. I wanted to ask if you would like to go on a date. Also to drop off a gift." Brett admitted almost as soon as he'd gotten through the door. A few seconds later there was another knock and you answered the door again. This time you found Liam at the door.

"Hey (Y/N)! Do you want to go to the cinema with me?" Liam asked eagerly as he bounced on his feet and smiled at you.

"Too late Dunbar." Brett said as he stepped into view. Liam's face fell and you felt a little irkd by Brett's assumption that you would turn Liam away.

"Why don't you come inside. Brett dropped off a gift and I'm in the middle of a christmas movie!" You said with enthusiasm. Brett's ego seemed bruised but Liam didn't wait for him to say anything and hurried inside out of the snow.
