Back at WOOHP headquarters in Los Angeles, an important meeting was taking place in the main conference room. The new head of the Gadget team, Tony Stark, who was dressed in in black slacks and a short sleeve collared shirt, was holding a powerpoint presentation, demonstrating latest updates to the new RESCUE armour he had been developing over the last few months. From their seats, Jerry and Britney were duly impressed as Tony finished underlying the various features of the suit, before he shut off the wall monitor with a remote.

"Splendid work, Tony," said Jerry, as he and Britney rose from their seats. "I've spoken to the WOOHP board of governors, and it looks like the other branches of WOOHP are all up for your amazing armour."

"And good idea on installing that override in the design in case someone tries to hack the armour's systems," added Britney. "After all, we don't want this sort of hi-tech to fall into the hands of any baddies."

"Yeah, I figured installing proper safety measures would be a good selling point," Tony replied, as he set down the remote and they all left the room

"Yeah, I figured installing proper safety measures would be a good selling point," Tony replied, as he set down the remote and they all left the room. Jerry nodded in agreement and waved to some co-workers that passed nearby as they walked through a spacious high-ceilinged room to get to the elevators.

"Well, I think we can safely assume the RESCUE armour will be a success," said Jerry. "And if it is, it'll make fighting crime and saving innocent lives much easier."

"I'm sure Spider-Woman, Invisible Girl and the Wasp would appreciate having a helping hand," smiled Britney

"I'm sure Spider-Woman, Invisible Girl and the Wasp would appreciate having a helping hand," smiled Britney. "Much as they enjoy being superheroes, they would certainly like the opportunity to take a break every now and then."

But their discussion came to an abrupt stop when Jerry's wallet phone began buzzing and the corridor's warning lights began flashing red, accompanied by alarm sirens. Jerry quickly answered his phone, made a few sounds in reply to the WOOHP agent on the other end of the line, then hung up, a grave expression on his face.

"Some kind of emergency, huh?" Tony asked.

"Yes, a dangerous-looking guest is approaching the building. I'll call the girls and head to my office," Jerry replied as he rushed to the elevators with Tony and Britney.

"I'm going to my lab to keep an eye on my tech in case that's their target," said Tony. "Maybe we can even use it."

"I'll come and give you a hand," said Britney. "If that is what our uninvited guest is after, you may need some help guarding it."

Jerry made a sound of agreement, and they soon were off to their destinations, hoping that they would be able to deal with this mysterious intruder.

Meanwhile, WOOHP's team of super-humans were chilling out at their penthouse at Mali-U. Sam was in the lounge reading a good book, while Clover was in her room with Alex, trying to order some new dresses on Amazon.

"Online shopping can be really frustrating," groused Clover, looking at her computer monitor as she entered the last of her info with some typing and mouse clicks. "It may be quick and sooo convenient, but it takes all the fun out of going to stores."

"I hear you," Alex chuckled, sitting in a chair in Clover's comfortable room. "Going out to the Groove is like a way better way to shop."

Alex began checking entertainment news on her tablet, and her eyes started scanning through an article about the discovery of a large hammer at the centre of a crater in New Mexico.

"Hey, listen to this..." she began to say, only to be cut off by the familiar ringtone of Clover's compowder.

"Hold that thought," Clover said dryly, as she opened the compowder to answer the call.

"Sorry to bother you, girls, but we have a situation. WOOHP is under attack by a supervillain and we need you three here ASAP!" said Jerry via his hologram appearing from the device.

"Got it!" Clover replied, followed by a sound of assent from Alex. "Sam, we've got trouble!"

"Way ahead of you," called Sam as she rushed into the room, already in her Spider-Woman outfit. Clover and Alex used their compowders to change into their own respective outfits instantly, and a second later, a trap door opened beneath them, and they yelled as they flew down the WOOHP tunnel to HQ.

Destroy Jerry. Destroy WOOHP.

That was the only thought that was going through the head of the alien beast that was stomping its way through the corridors of WOOHP. The empathetic empowerment of Venom had fed off of Terrence's hatred for both, corrupting him even further and making him more savage in his attitude. Even just the feral attack to WOOHP's front door to gain entry showed how risky it would be for regular people to be anywhere near him, as he had effortlessly swatted aside the guards as though they were toy dolls. Scrabbling on the floor quickly, he was surprised and disappointed not to find anymore enemies to easily dispatch, making him give a loud inhuman roar of frustration.

But his sensitive hearing picked up a small hissing sound, and nearly invisible gas began filling the room. However, the symbiote filtered only breathable air into his host, meaning that he was completely unaffected by the subtle defence. With a guttural growl, he continued marching into a large room, his tongue lolling about as the alien used its psychic ability to tap into Lewis's very genetic memory until he pinpointed a location.

He could also sense the fear of the people hiding far from him in the building, but ignored them to rush into the nearest stairwell.

"We're coming for you, Jerryyyy..." he hissed menacingly, then leapt up to stick to the sides of the railings, agilely heading towards the top.
