Scott and walked to advanced chemistry in 4th period. We had an assignment on the reactions of two chemicals at the lab.

We were supposed to mix sodium hydroxide and some kind of acid.

Scott came back with a large amount of a green chemical. "Whoa, did you measure that correctly? That looks like A LOT!" I asked extremely concerned. "Don't worry, I know what I'm doing," he poured the substance into the test tube. "See, nothing bad happened," he looked at me like I was over reacting. I looked at it nervously and watched it bubbled up. "Is- is that supposed to happen?" now I'm starting to get really worried.

Our teacher, Mr. Freeman gave us little note. "Oh yeah, and try not to blow up my lab!" he joked. I giggled nervously.

The green turned on to a bright yellow and bubbled up even more. I tried so hard not to breath in the fumes, but I kinda did and my head started to hurt.

I turned for like 2 seconds and then

BOOM!!!!!

The acid exploded.

Everyone fled out of the room. Mr. Freeman soon got angry. "What part of 'Don't blow up my lab' DON'T you understand?!" he shouted. Scott spoke up. "I'm sorry Mr. Freeman, it was my fault. I think I might have over dosed on the sodium hydroxide," he confessed.

I felt a little dizzy, and the next thing I knew, I collapsed on the floor.

I woke up in the nurses office. Scott and my dad was there. "The first thing I heard from him was, "Why do you date boys that try to kill you?" Instead of, "Are you alright? Casey I was so worried!" But we all know my dad, and that is a lot to swallow.

"Hey, are you alright?" Scott asked me. At least I got it from someone.  I nodded my head. I looked at the clock on the wall.

It was 3:54?!?!?! "Oh, my gosh! I missed the whole day?" I said not showing my excitement. "Yeah, and Axl left you," dad said. "And we have 3 hours of detention,"  Scott added.
