I need to add that this story occurs approximately 2.5 - 3 years after the events at the Council in Chains.

This book is a sequel to the book 'Chains'. If you haven't read Chains yet, you could get confused about some of the stuff mentioned in this book. Please read Chains first as it'll help follow this story better. Some people have had a hard time reading the beginning of Chains, as it is quite triggering. Please stick it out because I think after you get past the first part, things will improve.

I plan to update this book once each week. It's turning out to be more difficult to write than Chains was. Mostly because Pete is such a hard character to like; I mean, look at what he did in Chains! Anyway, this book follows Pete and Avery as their relationship develops. Chapters 32-34 of Chains only briefly covers their story. Alpha, Not will flesh out their story.

Just to make it clear, in case it isn't clear in the story - Pete and Avery are NOT mates. Just humans with the same potential for love as any other human.

Also, I wanted to introduce the characters - I do not own rights to the pictures. They're just my idea of what each character looks like.

Avery Brown -- 23 years old - human, blond, blue eyes, 5'6". Slender build, slightly shy.

Pete Danver - former Alpha of White River pack (Levi was his wolf), now human -- Blond with light brown eyes -- 29 years old

Teagan Ross -- Andrew's Beta.

Dave Smith -- Bully 

Clay Davis -- Bully 

Jacob Pitt -- Bully 

Andy Sullivan -- Avery's best friend in grade school/middle school
