broken bones adorned in a crown of ice,
shrouded in pale shadows you stand
and i hear a sound.
and you weep, and your tears are silent but the silence is deafening and
i feel your cold arms wrap around me.
(is this what a hug is?)
and you've never been kind,
never had kindness shown to know how
but this feel right, somehow
this feels right.
and you wrap your cold, cold arms around me
and you're cold but it's warmer than ive felt in so long so i grasp on
and you tighten your grip and we're holding on, clinging to each other tight
and it's comforting, in your embrace.
and you weep, and i shed a tear,
and we both let go lighter than we were before, a weight lifted off our shoulders in
a way only solidarity can accomplish.
and you're cold, but i know you're warmer than you were since im a little colder, more grounded as you're more feeling
and it's the little things that matter.
