Chapter 5

As I was exiting the dining hall, I saw my step sisters waiting for me.

"How did you know?" Annalise asked.

"Know what?" I asked looking confused on what she meant.

"Know that I like to make dress and know that Meredith like to fight." She said.

"Oh that. You two are not very subtle in hiding. I saw Meredith once running towards the training grounds with a wooden sword. I saw your drafts in the art room. Your designs are very beautiful." I said with full honesty. Thank goodness I can still remember some of this body's memories.

"Please don't tell them. They would surely be disappointed." Meredith told me.

"Why would they be disappointed? You're only doing what you want and you're happy doing it right? Aren't they supposed to support you? I know dad will." I asked. I don't get why they want to hide their talents. They good at what they are doing.

"You don't know our mom." Annalise said with a deep sigh.

" Yes, I don't know your mom but she seems like a sweet lady that is worried for her daughters. So chill out." I said to both of them.

"What is chill out? It's not even winter yet." Meredith asked. I forgot they are so formal here.

"It means to just calm down and let's go to sleep. Goodbye." I said in a rush. Tomorrow we are going to shop for my birthday dress. Probably a ball gown with heavy crinoline and bone crushing corsets. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day.

"Good morning my lady. It's time." A new maid woke me up.

"Where's the twin maids and state your name?" I asked.

"I'm Alice my lady. Usually I help with the cleaning but the twins are already in the shop with your step sisters." She answered timidly. They went without me?

Alice helped me get dressed and followed me to the carriage. As I am in the carriage, Alice didn't went in with me.

"Are you not going in?" I asked her.

"I'm not going to come with you my lady. The twins and some knights are already waiting for you in the shop. Have a safe trip my lady." Alice said as she waved a goodbye. I didn't even ate breakfast.

I arrived at the shop and saw my sisters already getting measured.

"You're late." Annalise said as I entered the shop.

"You're just early." I said to her. As I was looking through the fabrics, I was this dark blue colored chiffon. Are synthetic fiber already existing in this era?

"You have a good eye. These fabrics are new and there's only a few of them in this area." The seamstress sales talk me.
"That fabric was made by the great mage of the tower." The seamstress continued.

"I like this fabric but I already have a design in my mind for it. Are you willing to listen? I asked the seamstress. She nodded aggressively as I proceed to tell what design I want.

"You don't want a crinoline in your gown? And you also want to attach the corset?" The seamstress asked while looking at me shocked.

"Yes because I want it to look like it's a waterfall. For the corset part, I want it attached so it's easier to put on?" I answered the seamstress. It kinda looked like a modern style prom dress.

"Okay if you say so. This is the most bizarre dress that I will ever make. Come let's get your measurements." She says as she dragged me into the fitting room.

After we got our measurements, I asked the girls to eat. I'm famished already and my energy is dropping. As we were walking towards a cafe someone with a hood bumped into me.

"Ouch! What the hell?! Are you not using your eyes?!" I asked as I grabbed the arm of the hooded man. "And where do you think you're going? You're not even going to say sorry?" I am livid.

"I'm sorry. I just need to go somewhere urgently." He said in a soft apologetic tone. Another hooded guy appeared. "Come on we're going to loose them. And why are you talking to that dirty lady?" Did he just say dirty lady? It his friend's fault that I'm dirty.

"It's my fault. I'm sorry I'll make it up to you someday. Goodbye." And with that they both disappeared into the crowd. The f*cking audacity!
