Why Should I Believe Him Now?

POV (Wilbur Soot)

It's been two whole weeks since Sally appeared in Tommy's closet. Everything has seemed to calm down. Tommy is still paranoid, but he seems to be doing better every day that passes. Today is the day we go back to live at our house again. We gathered our stuff, and said our goodbyes.

"Welp, Tommy. We are here." I shook Tommy lightly, waking him up instantly.

Tommy's head jolts up and looks at the building nervously. We both get out of the car in unison. Together with all our luggage in hand we go inside for the first time in two weeks. Everything is exactly how we left it.

I look over at Tommy to see how he's handling this, but he immediately begins to shake.

"I can't do this yet, Will."

I wrapped my arms around him and rubbed his back, "Don't worry, you're not alone. I'm here to protect you, Phil is, Kristen is, and Techno is too. We'll keep you safe and never let it happen again."

POV (Tommy)

Why should I believe him now? He lied to me already, saying he'd protect me and all that bullcrap.

"Fine," I responded in a mildly pissed tone.

Of course, I'm not mad at him. I couldn't be mad at him. I went to my room, set my bags down, and slept.

The following morning I awoke to a loud banging at my door. I groaned in bed, eyeing the door until it eventually stopped. Cozy in bed, I fell asleep. Next time I woke up I wasn't in my room. I was on the cold wood floor of the living room.

Wilbur smiles as he takes a sip of his coffee, "Morning, son. You wouldn't wake up, so I took matters into my own hands. You have to start fixing your sleep schedule."

I grip onto the floor to try to pull myself off the ground, but end up immediately slamming back down.

"You good, Tommy?"

"Never been better." I turn his direction and give a crooked smile to pretend like I wasn't on the verge of death.

Well, the verge of death is a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the point

Wilbur walked to the kitchen and put my breakfast on the coffee table. Eggs, bacon, hash brown, and a small red gouda cheese circle. The perfect breakfast meal. With a hungry stomach, I speedway eating the meal. 4 minutes. Record time.

POV (Wilbur Soot)

Tommy inhaled and exhaled deeply, "Will? Why are you dressed up for...work?"

Shit.

"Going to work. Someone has to provide for us."

Tommy went back to his room, slamming his door behind him. I walk over to his door and lean my head against it.

"Tommy, I have to go to work. I know what you went through was a lot, so you won't be alone. Techno will be watching you for me."

"Well last time he watched over me he was an absolute dick!" Tommy shouted.

I feel a tap on my shoulder. It was Techno.

"I'm so sorry Tommy said that. He didn't mean it and-"

Techno nods, "I was indeed rude to him. I've learned and will show him that now I'm different. We spent time at Phil's house, and we were fine together."

I look over at my watch and see 6:50. Fuck, I'm gonna be late.

"I have to go. Bye bye, both of you." I wave goodbye while I grab my keys and jacket.

I really hope they'll get along.
