Chapter 12

Emily's POV:

  After that little run in with the manticore we followed Sophie's magical map until we reached this lodge in the middle of a town called Alta. The town was kinda small but it was still beautiful with the mountain peaks in the background as the sun slowly started to rise. The lodge was Windsor cloven lodging and co. As soon as we walked in we could immediately see why the map would lead us here there was a monster guarding an unconscious girl that wore camouflage pants and a black muscle shirt and a grey luminescent vest with black combat boots. Sophie seemed to recognize the danger of the situation quicker then the rest of us and charged into battle stabbing the monster looking figure in the gut. The figure doubled over and howled with anger and stabbed at Sophie in the forearm. The gash started bleeding weather Sophie noticed or not I couldn't tell she just started attacking the figure. The rest of us came to our senses. Jaden and Jawslyn joined in on the fight while Kennedy and I went over to check on the unconscious girl. In less then two minutes Jaden, Jawslyn, and Sophie joined in on trying to help the girl by giving her ambrosia and neuter but it wouldn't work. " Here give her this it will help", Sophie said handing over a water bottle with a substance inside of it that looked like water but more grayish and smoggy looking and handed it to Kennedy who gladly took it and started letting the substance trickle into the girls mouth. The started to come to her senses and shot strait upwards." Hey calm down there hunter we won't hurt you", said Sophie, " How do you know I'm a hunter of Artemis and where did you find moon water", said the girl, " I know that your a hunter because of 1) your clothes and 2) my wolf tracked your scent and I got moon water from my moms you might know them Thalia Grace and Reyna Arellano", at this the hunter froze and stared at Sophie in a mix of shock and confusion. Sophie seemed used to this and said," Hi my name's Sophie and this is Jaden,Jawslyn,Emily,kennedy and the wolf is willow", she said pointing around the lodge at all of the girls and her wolf who was silently pacing around the door fending anyone who tryed to enter the lodge. "My name is Julie. Where are we?", Julie asked," We're in Vermont and we think that you could help us finding the chalice of youth do you happen to anything about it", Sophie said," I think I know who might".
