The sound of waves crashing on the shore filled the silence in the air. The girl is sitting on a tree log, a book still in her hand, but her eyes are nowhere near the texts on the page, instead she stares ahead. She's deep in thought. She's feeling lost, she doesn't know what to do next. She feels helpless at the moment, however not the same as before. This is different. She's not drowning, but instead up in the water. The problem is she doesn't know which direction she will go.
Step by step, one at a time. She can do all the things she wants. She has time. She can visit another island, meet other fish, and maybe even discover what lies in the deep. But first, she needs to take it slow. She can't just go dive in the water. There are many places unexplored. She doesn't know if the currents are strong in that region. There may even be another whirlpool that'll suck her underwater. There are so many things she needs to look out for. Some paths are dangerous than others.
What even is her goal in doing all of this? She's blindly going to swim in the water without a dream to chaise after... That'sthe point. That's her direction. What she wants will be the compass and hermap. It will be the trail that will never be swept away by the waves. It willbe her driving force to never stop flapping her feet and her arms to swim andsurvive in the dangerous world with monsters that will swallow you whole andwill trap you and stomp on you with everything they have. It will be her sunthat will light up the way. It will be a star that she will name. Her goal willpoint her to the direction. As of now, it's pointing to the shallow waters.
