“Please!” Matilda begged with her large puppy dog eyes as she held up a bright pink tight dress. She said she would pay me fifty dollars if I went to work dressed like this one day. I practically turned into human lobster.

“No!” I yelled, while searching the rack for a different dress. I’ll admit, the dress was cute- no, it was sexy. Which was exactly why I couldn’t wear it.

“Come on, Zoe!” She begged, widening her eyes. I swear, she was like a living version of Puss in Boots.

“No.” I hissed, snatching the tight club dress and hanging it back on the rack before dragging her away. The dress went until only a few inches below my panties, and had a black zipper right up the middle. It was a tube top dress which barely covered enough. I’m sure Abby would approve.

As we exited the dress store, the Asian sales lady smiled and waved goodbye. I sent her a tight-lipped smile before pushing Matilda out.

“Ooh, let’s go get some soft-serves!” She started bounding on her heels clad in white high top Converse towards McDonalds. That girl. I shook my head, laughing softly. As I watched her skip towards McDonalds a few yards ahead of me, Starbucks was on the way, and I decided I would pop in and say hi to Tyler. Quickly making a bee line to the pick-up area, I didn’t see the brief-case that was in my way, making me trip over it. I yelped on my way down, but right as I squeezed my eyes shut, preparing for impact, I felt a hand grab my wrist, and stop me from a horrible collision. Pulling me up to my feet, I stumbled around for a bit before regaining balance. Mr. Dominique was standing with his hand enclosed around my right wrist, only a few inches away from each-other. My Marc Jacobs calf boots were touching his nice leather shoes. My eyes were cast upward staring into his dark charcoal eyes. I wetted my lip, making his eyes zoom in on my lips.

“Zoe? Whoa!” I jumped back from Mr. Dominique who seemed to be annoyed. I bit my lip and found Matilda staring at us with wide eyes.

“Oh, uh, hey Matty.” I smirked, but my words came out breathless. She was glancing between us, as if she wasn’t sure to start jumping in glee or yelling for answers. She went with the answers.

“Who are you?” She demanded, glaring down at Mr. Dominique.

“Matilda!” I scolded, rushing towards her. She glanced over at me. “This is my boss, Mr. Dominique.” Her eyes widened again, before she glanced back at him.

“You mean- the owner of Dominique-”

“Yes,” He cut her off, clenching his jaw.

“You must be Zoe’s friend.” I shivered by the way my name rolled off his tongue.

“Y-yeah,” I interrupted. “I was just going to say hi to Tyler, wanna come?” I didn’t give her any time to answer when I gripped her elbow and dragged her away.

“Bye, Mr. Dominique!” She called over her shoulder, before jogging to keep up with me. My nails dug deeper into her elbow, making her wince.

“Shut up!” I hissed, finding Tyler at the other end. I was so grateful he hadn’t seen that little episode back there. He would have stopped me from ever going back there. Ever. Not to mention that Mr. Dominique was seven years older than me. Yes, that’s right; Mr. Dominique was a full head of twenty-four year old hotness.

“Okay. Who the hell was that hot God?” I glared at her, making her smirk. Her beautiful blond hair was pulled into a tight pony-tail, and she was wearing a V-neck which looked absolutely amazing on her. Her jeans were practically molded to her perfectly toned legs, while I was wearing a cute wide skirt, and a tang-top, matched with my grey Converse.
