At first I fought, I really did. My still wet hands went to his chest and started to push, but when he brought his hands to my waist and pulled me flush against his body all hope was lost. My hands, now loose and free, went to his soft hair that I had wanted to run my hands through since I met him. Since they were still damp, they stuck to some of his hairs, pulling. His hands gripped my waist tighter, making me gasp.

When my mouth opened to his, it was like nothing before. He tasted sweet, like fruit, and his tongue wrestled with mine. I didn't bother trying to win after a while, and just let him take control. I hadn't even noticed we had moved until he was lying us down on the couches. Running low on air, I broke apart from him, but he had other ideas. His mouth went to my neck, biting and sucking. I moaned loudly, making him groan. My hands gripped his soft hair, tugging and pulling. My back was against the semi-soft couch, but when I pulled his head back to mine, he flipped us over. Now straddling his waist, I moved my hands from his hair to either side of his head and continued exploring his mouth. His mouth had moved from defying and alpha male to soft and gentle. And damn was it sexy.

Our mouths moved in sync, perfectly together, and all thoughts of Mika and chores had fled my mind. But his wedding ring didn't.

With new-found willpower, I pushed away from his miracle working lips, and scrambled to get off of him. We were both breathing heavily, and I was sure my lips were red and a bit swollen from all the action they had gotten.

"S-stay away from me!" I stuttered, holding my hands in front of me. He stood slowly, his eyes narrow. Like approaching a wounded wild animal. He brought both of his hands in front of him, and took small calculated steps.

"What? What is it?" He asked, and I was momentarily taken aback from the gentleness in his voice. I then remembered my mom. Her bloody neck and the red liquid flowing down her body. I bit back a scream at how vivid it all was. My breathing was having a hard time evening out while his was completely back to normal.

"Y-you! You're a murderer!" I yelled, backing away from him. The first thing that I saw was a pan that I had just washed, but it was better than nothing. His brows furrowed as his jaw clenched. It was hard and hypocritical to call him a murderer, when I was too. "A cheating murderer!" It was then that I noticed the empty spot on his ring finger. The pan faltered in the air. He noticed where my gaze was directed and he sighed, lifting dropping his right hand while he stared at the other.

"I'm not cheating on Nikki. I broke it off." His smooth voice told me, making a shudder roll down my back. Questions were invading my mind. One after the other.

"You can't be here," I said, ignoring his earlier statement. "You killed my parents." My voice came out in a whisper as the dam I had been trying to hold back was threatening to fall. For almost all my life I had hoped to find out who had been driving the car, but now all I wished for was that I didn't. I liked him. I liked my parent's murderer. I could see the gears shifting in his head.

"What are you talking about? I didn't kill anyone." He defended, until it finally seemed to come to him.

"Zoe Brimling Sander. That's why the name sounded familiar." My breathing hitched.

"How do you know my middle name? I never told you." But I knew the answer. He had heard that I was one of the children to the people he killed.

"Zoe, please. You have to listen-"

"You want me to listen?" I hissed, my fear quickly converting to anger. "I have listened to you order me around like a puppet for the month that I worked for you, and you never bothered to mention the fact that you happened to kill my parents! And then you go off and make me actually like you! You hear me? I liked you!" I yelled, impulsively. His eyes widened a fraction of an inch. "And then you practically rip me apart with your new fucking Barbie doll, Nicole! The beautiful model actress chick, which the designer shoes, and the expensive car! And then," I let out a bitter laugh. "And then I hear you're getting married!" I screamed. The whole Northern hemisphere could have heard me, but I was on a roll. "And I don't even know what to think! And then Mika goes off and professes his love for me, and I don't know what to do! Everyone expect me to like him, and they all swoon when he calls me 'baby' or any other stupid names! And then my brothers want to celebrate my birthday like it's actually something special! But the truth is, my birthday is actually the anniversary to the day I killed someone!" I hadn't realized I had gotten closer to him until my pan was pressing against his chest and I was screaming at his face.
