[author's note: 2.5K READS ARE YOU SERIOUS?? ty all sm for all the love on this book! sorry for the short hiatus -- i was busy with stuff going on during the holidays + new year's. i'm back now, though, and i'll hopefully be able to update more as i get back into the flow of things!]

it's now been two weeks since i've arrived in la. aside from the first couple of days where i was settling in, it was quite hectic to say the least. for one, there were a couple collaborations i needed to go film with some mutuals / fellow tiktokers that i had scheduled once i knew i was coming to la. secondly, i had to film a couple of brand deal tiktoks which got really bothersome because they had been shipped to my old house since the deal was made before i moved, so my parents had to ship the boxes over here via express mail. and lastly, the boys suggested i go find a manager, which turned out to be a total waste of time because i ended up deciding that i didn't need one because a, i don't like people controlling my creative freedom, and b, i'd rather have what i earn on social media to be the fruit of my own labor.

however, the two weeks, while busy, were also really enjoyable. i felt myself becoming closer and more comfortable around the boys -- especially oliver, sebastian, and ryan, as i felt that i should get closer to the people that could be my soulmates -- and being around them was always really fun. although i wasn't actively trying to seek out which one of them was my soulmate, i was getting to know them, and hanging out with them made me really happy.

and now, just as i'm about to get some "rest" from the recent chaos, i decided that i should be "productive" with my time and have spent the majority of the morning creating a youtube channel.

"does someone want to go check on miya? she's been in her room the whole morning," i heard someone say from downstairs.

"i'll go," i heard someone say before the sound of footsteps began getting closer and closer until it finally stopped at my door. "hey miya."

"hi oli," i said after looking up to see who the visitor was.

"miya, don't you think you should get some rest?" oliver asked as he sat next to me at my desk. "you've been nonstop filming and working for days."

"i'm just making the channel, i'm not editing, calm down," i reassured him. "i will, however, be vlogging a little bit today."

oliver stared at me in awe. "how are you not half-dead by now?"

"honestly, i don't know either," i replied. "my dad gave me this camera before i left though, so i might as well put it to use."

"what do you plan on vlogging?" he asked as i finished up the layout of the channel and closed my laptop.

i shrugged. "anything? i'll figure it out."

"WHO WANTS TO GO GET BOBA?" darren yelled from upstairs.

"ME!" i yelled back. "i guess i'll be vlogging a boba run," i said to oliver, who let out a small laugh at my answer before the two of us headed downstairs.

"i'm starting a youtube channel so i wanna go so i can vlog," i said once we were with everyone. "who else is going?"

"justin and ryan," sebastian answered.

"i have everyone else's orders on my phone," ryan told me, holding his phone up for me to see. "JUSTIN YOU SLOWASS HURRY UP BOY!"

"I'M COMING SHUT UP!"

"let's just go to the car first," ryan suggested. i nodded, and the two of us headed towards the garage to the car. "i'm driving, so you can choose if you want to sit shotgun or not."

"i'll sit shotgun," i replied. "mostly to annoy justin," i said mischievously.

ryan laughed at my response. "i like the way you think."

double checking my bag to make sure i had everything, i opened the door of the car and sat inside, with ryan doing exactly the same on his side. after a couple minutes of random conversation, the door leading to the backseat of the car opened up and justin barreled inside.

"well, don't you have a lot of energy," i said sarcastically.

"shut up," justin grumbled. "let's go already."

"sheesh, okay," ryan snickered as he opened the garage door, drove out, closed the door, and began heading to the boba shop.

remembering that i was meant to vlog, i rummaged through my bag and pulled out my small vlog camera that was attached to a small tripod. once i made sure the battery was charged, there was an sd card inside, and the viewfinder was facing me, i turned it on and began recording.

"hi everyone! it's miya here, and welcome to the first video on my youtube channel," i smiled to the camera as i showed justin and ryan giving their whoops and cheers of encouragement. "right now, justin, ryan, and i, are headed out to go get some boba for us and the rest of the boys," i continued. "so, dearest brother, what do you think about your younger sister opening a youtube channel?" i asked justin, handing him the camera.

justin carefully took the camera from my hands. "i think miya will do a terrible job," he said through a fake smile, which allowed me to respond by hitting his knee. "ow!" he yelped.

"consider that karma," i retorted. "what about you ryan?" i asked, taking the camera back from my brother and held it to face the boy in question.

ryan flashed a quick smile at the camera before turning his eyes back to the road. "i think miya will do a great job with her new channel, as she does with everything," he replied as he continued driving.

"see justin?" i said, pointing the camera back to myself. "that is how you should treat your younger sister."

"ryan's your new brother now, i'm out," justin answered. "have fun with asian gummy over there," he continued. "who, by the way, is acting much nicer to you than he ever is to me."

"boy shut your mouth," ryan argued. "in my defense, you don't deserve my niceness. also, i'm definitely that nice to seb, at the very least."

"first of all, that was rude, and secondly, about that last part, anyone else smell some cap..."

"you should be glad i'm driving otherwise i'd be beating your ass right now."
