YEONI POV

Taeyong looked heartbroken hearing those words. He looked at Yuri but she did not say anything and just looked down. The air became tense and I saw Mark look between Taeyong and Yuri. He could see something was up but he didn't seem sure. Did the guy not know?

He looked at me with a questioning look. Which was kind of a shocker as he was usually just giving cold stares for the past month. 

Realization hit him and he turned back to his cold self. Another ding and we all turned to see two boys bickering while coming towards us. 

And i recognized them to be... Jeno and Haechan? I knew they were twins but they were the younger siblings of Mark and Taeyong?!

Mr. Lee: Boys stop will you? Not in the office please.

Jeno and Haechan: Yes dad...

Then their eyes fell on mine. Jeno seemed shocked but soon gave me a smile that i returned. On the other hand Haechan ran to me and hugged my tight from the side.

Haechan: Noona!!

Unlike Jeno, Haechan loved calling me noona. I chuckled and ruffled his hair.

Yeoni: Hello there Channie.

Mr. Lee: You know her too?

Haechan: We know each other. Jeno's girlfriend after all.

He cockily smiled. I looked at Jeno but he just gave me a twisted smile. Looks like he did not tell Haechan yet.

Mrs. Lee: Is that so? Oh I am happy for you two.

Jeno: No mom we actually-

Mark: Shouldn't we do what we came here for?

He interrupted Jeno with his piercing, frightening, cold voice that made everyone look at him. Even Taeyong who was looking down all this time looked at the younger with confusion as to why he sounded so angry. 

Yeoni: Please wait in the office. I will bring coffee for all of you.

Yuri: C-Can i... Can i help you?

I looked at her. She pleaded with her eyes and i just nodded.

Taeyong: I want to join too.

Mr. Lee: And why do you want to go?

Taeyong: Um... i need to catch up with Yeoni...

i could see right through his lie. But the others seemed to consider it. They entered the room leaving me, Taeyong and Yuri outside.

The moment the door closed Taeyong turned to Yuri.

Taeyong: If... If you were so saddened with our relationship you could have just told me.

Yuri: Taeyong... i love you. I really do. But- how do i explain it!

She looked down with teary eyes.

Yeoni: Should i give you two some privacy?

Yuri and Taeyong: No!

They said in unison. 

Taeyong: Yeoni... you know we prefer you in on it. You are wise with this. We need your advice all the time.

Yuri: I will need you to help me when i tell him and you everything. 

I sighed.

Yuri: The only reason we were ever together was because of you. Please Yeon?

Yeoni: Fine... come on.

I led them to the area where i could prepare coffee. While i did, Yuri took deep breaths and then started talking.

Yuri: One day... i decided to visit your home Taeyong. When i got there i got to know you had gone with your mother to do groceries. You never actually let me meet your father as you said you did not get along well so i never went to your house before. Except once i had dropped you there so i remembered. I decided i wanted to surprise you for your birthday before we met that night.

She took a shaky breath. I took the time to draw circles on her back to calm her down while Taeyong waited for her to complete her explanation calmly. Something i wanted to learn from him... If only i had that much patience to listen... maybe me and Mark-

Yuri: I then rang the bell to your house.

She started speaking again bringing me out of my train of thoughts.

Yuri: Your dad opened the door. But i found out that he is actually a business partner of my dad's. We got along pretty well until he dropped the bomb saying that he and dad had always planned on me marrying Mark. 

Another shaky breath.

Yuri: When i confronted dad about it he did not even hear me out but continued telling me how happy he would be if we got married and how happy it would be for him to see me in that family with a good person... He looked so happy i couldn't...

She trailed off and started crying. Taeyong came forward and hugged her. She buried her face in his chest and continued crying. 

Taeyong: Oh baby... it's okay. If only mom had not made a fuss on buying something for me... if only i did not take that long to come home...

Yuri: It's not your fault. i shouldn't have gone without telling you...

Taeyong: Why did you not tell me this earlier? My birthday was 2 months back...

Yuri: I was so guilt ridden I... I-

She trailed off.

Taeyong: Shh...

She was shaking pretty bad. He kissed her forehead and hugged her again. I let them be and continued making the coffee for the Lee family. If only i could be that considerate, calm and patient... Then maybe i wouldn't be having depression, anxiety attacks and a fucked up love life. Then maybe Mark wouldn't be the way he is now... maybe we would be okay.

I sighed and looked at them. They looked so perfect now. Yuri hugging Taeyong. Taeyong resting his head on her head with closed eyes. 

He then opened them and looked at me. He broke the hug and stood in front of me with Yuri hugging his arm.

Taeyong: Yeoni... i don't want Yuri to marry Mark. One, because i love her and he doesn't. And two... he will always only love you.
