Uncle Ben: "Hey how was school kiddo?"
Peter Parker: "Usual."
Uncle Ben: "Ah that Thompson boy still pickin on ya?"
(Peter nodded)
Uncle Ben: "I'll let you in on a secret, Pete. Bullies ain't all that bad once you get to know them. Anyway glad I caught you. I've gotta run an errand in Metropolis. Should be home in time for dinner. Tell your Aunt May to cook something other than meatloaf will ya?"
Peter: "Heh. Will do, Uncle Ben. See ya tonight."
Uncle Ben: "Later Pete. Love ya."
Peter: "You too."
(They shared a smile before Uncle Ben started his car and drove off...)
(Later that day...news coverage of the Kryptonian invasion in Metropolis was all over the TV and radio)
(Peter and Aunt May hugged each other closely as Peter tried calling Uncle Ben for the seventh time...but there was no answer...)
(Present Day)
News Reporter: "It's official Superman is back! The Man of Steel himself who the world mourned just a few short months ago following a brutal battle with the creature known as Doomsday, who Superman sacrificed himself to defeat has risen from the dead. Thanks to a small team of heroes including Gotham City's very own Batman, it looks like Superman is truly back..and this time..he comes in black."
(Superman speaks at a press conference)
Superman: "First of all, I wish to thank the citizens of the world for welcoming me back with such compassion and kindness. I know there has been some debate over my intentions and questionable actions in the past, but I promise to not only the people of Metropolis but also to the whole world..that I am here to help. And this time I am here to stay. Thank you."
(Reporters clamored more questions before Peter turned the TV off... pain and rage written all over his face)
Peter: "..so he's back. Just like that. He's alive again after...after everything he did..but not Uncle Ben...no..not Uncle Ben.."
(Peter clenched his fist and opened his closet, staring intensely at his red and blue costume)
Peter: "Superman doesn't like wearing blue and red anymore? Fine. It's Spider-Man's turn to take the spotlight."
