Secret Santa (Christmas addition)

Chapter. 1

"Everyone get to your desks right now ! are new boss will be here any minute" one of my coworkers yells.

Im exited for are new boss. Our first boss
Mr.Carter passed away few weeks ago. I really don't know why he and his family are very private people, I think it was a heart attack or something..... but that's in the past our new boss will be here any minute now.
He's Mr. Carter's nephew.

"I heard he's very hot" I hear two of the front desk girls whisper to each other.

I roll my eyes. I really don't care how he looks hot or not. Even if he is hot obviously nothing can happen he's going to be my boss.

I get snapped out my thoughts quickly when I hear the elevator bing !
My eyes look up at the elevator door.
There I see him, the new boss. He's wearing very business like clothes, a dark blue suit with a white tie and black shoes. His eyes are dark green and his hair dirty blond almost brown.

"This is our new boss Mr.Evans" one of my coworkers yells.

Everyone claps including me

"Please call me Chris" my new boss says with a sweet smile "I know it's been hard for everyone including me, the death of my uncle was sudden and unexpected but he's in a better place now. I'll be taking over the company... don't worry nothing will change we will follow the same old rules my uncle had, but if anyone want something to be changed my office is always open. I just want all of you to be happy especially at this time of the year" he says keeping the smile

Everyone clap again

Everyone had brought some drinks and snacks just to have a little welcoming party for
Mr.Evans

Mr. Evans walked around talking to everyone getting to know the whole office.
I could see few of the girls drooling over him.

So unprofessional

I stand there going through some emails on the iPad I always had with me. Even tho I should be taking a little break from work, I can't. There is so much to do. I keep scrolling on the iPad when I feel a light tap on my shoulder, distracting me from my work. I turn around seeing Jack my coworkers and also Ex lover. He and I used to date few years ago but thing didn't work between us.
He said I over worked and didn't give him much time, which didn't make any sense at all because we both work with the same company and used to live together.

I was with him basically all day everyday.

But he's in a relationship now with some basic blond, perfect body, model. She's half his age and just finished modelling school in Paris

How do I know so much about her ? Well because all Jack dose is talk about her. But somehow I can't remember her name it was Sophie or Stella- I really don't know

Don't get me wrong I'm happy for him, and I really do enjoy hearing him talk about how good his life and relationship is, it's just I get lonely time to time.

"Yes Jack ?" I say

"So tell me Y/n what should I get Sara for Christmas ?"

Ohh right her name is Sara

"I really don't know just get her some socks or a cozy sweater" I say not paying much attention to the conversation with Jack

"Well do you think she will like this Christmas gift ?" Jack asks showing me a red box with a Dimond ring in it "I'm thinking of proposing to her" Jack says

Great !

"Wow Jack- I'm so happy for you" I say trying to make it sound convincing. I mean who tells there Ex girlfriend (of two years) that there going to purpose to another chick. "You two look great together" I add in, just in case the first thing didn't sound convincing.
