i don't know why i ended up dragging our family's eugene into this...

(+ a rant at the end below bc that's what i do at almost every part of this book)

Eugene rubbed his temples, trying to ease the headache. The math problem was too hard!

He felt like his head was being split in two horizontally. And when it's finally split in half, there would be hinges placed on the back of his head, turning his head to some type of treasure chest.

Eugene's brain is the treasure because the meat of his brain can be eaten raw or cooked to cure terminal illnesses. Eugene's brain can also be squeezed dry to make a delicious beverage. His brain fluids can prevent skin aging, wrinkles and will give you smooth and flawless skin on regular intake. With a healthy diet and regular exercise, you can see results immediately!

But, Eugene only has one brain! What do you mean by regular intake?

Glad you asked. Eugene has quick regeneration and his organs can make an exact copy of itself when it's taken out from his system. For example, his brain. His head became a treasure chest but his open head doesn't heal because people framed the edges with steel; they even put a lock on it.

Over time, Eugene's peculiar case spread around. He ends up getting locked up inside a glass cage in a museum and his brain is taken every two days to sell to wealthy people.

If you're interested, there's a recipe book published by a well-known chef. Physical copies are only sold to those who attend the monthly auction. More and more recipes are still added so attending auctions are a way to stay up to date. You must even know the latest dishes to join a conversation with your friends!

There's also a long time popular recipe that you and your whole family would surely love to eat! It's scrambled eggs but made with Eugene's brain. It's gray in color but it tastes much better than a regular scrambled egg! It's fast and easy to make, too.

(How the hell did I even thought of all THIS? Someone, save Eugene!!)

What the.....Let's think of happy things!

Eugene felt quite nauseous so shook off the thought of his head being a treasure chest and tried to think about good things.

Good things like the rabbits hopping around in green fields, then a predator shows up and the whole family of rabbits get eaten. Eugene could hear the pitiful, unheard cries of the rabbits, their bones cracking like biscuits and their blood spraying out like perfume.

The innocent bunnies!! Why did it end up like that?!

Eugene couldn't help pulling his hair of frustration. Then, he remembered that he's been losing hair lately-the amount wasn't normal. At least that's what he diagnosed.

He thinks it's a normal body reaction because he's been staying up late to do schoolwork and schoolwork stresses him out, too. Talk about multitasking, am I right, schoolwork? (I hate school. I don't understand math and it's all the school's fault.)

Headaches, hair loss, anemia... Do I have leukemia...? Oh, but I'm not getting any nosebleeds so I don't have it. Probably.

(LMAO I searched up the symptoms of leukemia and now I'm scared just thinking of me having them 😇)
