Mysterioso

Preface

Adrianna lay on the hard cemented floor of the basement shielding her twin daughters from the cold. She had been caught by surprise when her family was attacked. Her husband had pushed her into the room that led to the basement and told her to hide and not to come out unless he personally came to get her. She had been sitting in the cold with the company of her sister Arianna.
A loud and sudden boom shocked the two sisters as they sat in silence. Panic went through Adriana's heart as she thought of her mate above her. She stood up suddenly leaving her daughters, Bellatrix and Beatriz with Arianna. As an eerie silence came over the entire building,Adrianna suddenly collapsed. Her mate was gone,she had felt the mate bond snap as her other half disappeared into oblivion. She could not hold on any longer,not even for her sister who was panicking or for her daughters who had somehow sensed that something was wrong.

"Go,save the children,Damon is still here and he will stop at nothing until we are all dead,save yourself and the children,look after them for me and tell them that their mother loves them a lot,"Adrianna said as she felt her body getting weaker.

Arianna knew that there was nothing she could do other that fulfill her sister's last wish. A loud boom echoed in the room as the wall started crumbling. Arianna gathered the children in her arms,gave her sister one last kiss and left before harm befell the little ones. An ear shattering scream pierced the silent night sky,Arianna liked back one last time and saw her sister consumed by Damon.

"I will avenge your death dear sister,and I will make sure that your children grow up to be legends,"Arianna whispered as she fled the scene with the two children in her hands.
