Chapter 4

Time of the spell

"Aunty, will I ever see my sister again?"a grief-stricken Bea asked Arianna.

"We will do everything we can to find her okay, don't lose hope,we will find Bella,"replied an equally emotional Arianna.

"I miss her a lot, I regret all those fights I had with her over stupid things, if I had known that my time with her was limited I would have appreciated her more,"cried Bea.

"It's okay Bea, I'm sure she's okay. You will just have to make it up to her by being nicer when we find her"Arianna says while hugging Bea.

"Not even a question,"Bea replied.

After a few moments, Bea let out a gut wrenching scream. Arianna panicked and tried to find the source of her pain. Bea continued to scream as she burns up while rivers of tears flowed down her face.

After a moment of Bea screaming orange and red sigils of concealment appeared around her.

As soon as Arianna saw them,she understood exactly what was happening. She got a cold cloth and put it on Bea's head to cool her down a bit.

After half an hour Bea's body finally started to cool down and she stopped screaming in pain. Arianna sat her down and gave her a glass of cold water.

"Oh,what was that?I felt like my body was being turning inside out,"croaked an exhausted Bea.

"It's your sister,those evil werewolves have somehow found a way to cloak her. They've hidden her powers from her. That means it will be harder for us to bring back her memories,"said a frustrated Arianna.

"Didn't you say that's impossible?"asked Bea.

"Not entirely,it just takes a really powerful witch to perform that spell,"answered Arianna.

"Where did the wolves find a witch that powerful?"interrogated Bea.

"I don't know,but we have to find a way to get your sister out of that place. I just don't get why the spell hurt you,"expressed Arianna.

"What do you mean aunty?"

"If the witch knew that you and Bella were twins then she would have blocked out the bond between you two and you wouldn't have felt the pain. This means that those wolves didn't think to tell her that,"answered Arianna.

"So that means that Bella and I are still connected somehow?"asked Bea.

"Yes,that means we will still be able to find her,we just need to wait for the right time to strike,"said a hopeful Arianna.

"But will we be able to break the spells?"Bea inquired.

"I don't know,we need to find out and I know a Seer that can help us. Pack your bags"

"Where are we going?"

"The Cavern of runes"

Cavern of runes

"I thought you said we were going to a caravan of ruins,this looks like a cave,"Bea said.

"I said the Cavern of runes not whatever you heard,"Arianna answered.

"Ok,ditto,so why are we here?"asked Bea.

"To find out how to break the spells over your sister,"replied Arianna.

"Enter,"a voice boomed just as Bea opened her mouth to speak. The doors to the Cavern slowly creaked open.

Bea and Arianna entered the dark and musty place. They stopped at a bright light where an old woman stood by a platform filled with glowing water that seemed to have embers rising from it.

"What is it that you seek?"the woman asked.

"I need to know about some concealment spells,"Arianna said.

"Concealment of?"the woman inquired.

"People and powers,my niece was kidnapped a couple of years back and we have not been able to find her since. Her sister recently felt a connection to her due to concealment spells,"Arianna stated.

"Are you the sister,girl?"inquired the woman.

"Yes,I am,"Bea replied as she eyed the water suspiciously.

"Give me your hand,"the woman demanded. Bea reluctantly gave the woman her hand after a small nod form Arianna.

"Ouw!"Bea exclaimed as the woman suddenly cut her thumb and shoved it in the water.

"You must relax,it is part of the process,child,"the woman calmly stated as Bea screamed out in pain.

After a while the woman stopped and released Bea's hand from the searing water.

"The spell you want to break is tied to an object that the wolf that kidnapped your sister holds dear. You find this object ,you find your sister."

"Thank you,"Arianna and Bea said as they exited the cavern.

"At least now we can finally commence with our plans,"Arianna stated.
