fairytale ending? ; yang jungwon

nami squirmed around on her bed as her alarm set off. slowly she opened her eyes, reading the time.

 6:00 a.m.

still sleepy, the girl heaved herself out of bed and headed straight to her bathroom to freshen up.

 'day 6,400 of my shitty life. yey.'

as she smoothened down her uniform, nami received a notification from her phone. she knew it was a schedule of the day from her father.

"alexa, what's my schedule for today?" she asked. a female voice was heard from her room's speaker.

"you have school from 7 am to 3 pm. you have a one hour break from 3 pm to 4 pm then you will have your lesson with your father for the company from 4 pm to 6 pm. dinner will be served at 7 pm. the rest of the night, you are free." her alexa responded with her lengthy schedule.

'same as usual.'

nami sighed.

the schedule may seem excessive to most people but the girl was used to it. yea, it was tiring but she can't do anything about it, can she?

grabbing her bag and her phone, nami headed out.

but as she turned the corner, she bumped into someone. as a result, the phone in her hand fell to the ground.

"i'm so sorry!" the two said in unison. bowing at the same time, the two bumped heads, which resulted into another string of apologies coming out of their mouths.

the boy quickly bent down and grabbed the phone, handing it to nami while still bowing.

"i'msosorryididn'tmeanitithoughtnoonwwasroamingthehallsi'msososor-"

"hey.. hey, it's okay. i'm not mad." nami said, speaking softly as to not scare the boy even more.

finally lifting their heads, they locked eyes. she roamed her eyes around the boy's face, growing accustomed to his facial features.

"are you new here? what's your name?" the girl asked, still keeping the soft tone in her voice.

"y-yes, i'm new here. m-my name is jungwon.." the boy, now identified as 'jungwon', quietly said.

'he's so cute!'

'wait..'

'WHAT??'

"well, jungwon, i'll go now. see you around!" nami waved the boy goodbye as she traveled the corridors.

"she's so nice.." jungwon whispered to himself, watching the disappearing back of the girl. he widened his eyes as he caught himself slipping.

"snap out of it jungwon! just do your work before mr. jung thinks you're slacking off and fires you! he said to himself, tapping his flushed cheeks to wake himself up.
