"Snow Day"

HINATA'S POV:

I looked out the window, watching the clean, white snow fall as I waited for Komaeda in the busy café. It was typically pretty busy around this time of year, everyone's looking for some shitty winter romance story with some hot drinks to warm up. I can't exactly say anything about it though, considering that's also exactly why I chose this place for our date.

The bell on the door rang as he walked through, smiling and waving at me before sitting down at the table. "Hey Hajime, so sorry I'm a bit late aha." He laughed nervously, covering his mouth. It was a shame, really, he's so pretty when he smiles. "Should we order now?" I asked, looking outside again, watching a young pink haired girl, blue haired boy, red haired boy, green haired girl and a kid with a mask on building a snowman together while laughing.

I slowly stood up, "What do you want me to get you?" I asked him, remembering how much he hates social interaction with others. "Ah- just a normal hot chocolate and some fruit cake, if it's not to much to ask..?" Komaeda smiled. "Is it because you're fruity?" I smirked, chuckling a bit at my own joke. "Yes." He responded, and with that, I headed towards the cashier.

"Hey hey, what can I get you?" the pink headed cashier responded, she was wearing some reindeer antlers on top of her head. "I'd like two hot chocolates and one fruit cake please" I responded, grabbing the cash to pay out of my wallet. "That'll be $5.99 please." I handed her the cash and she gave me our order number.

As I turned around, I heard her call out to another girl, one that had long blonde hair and a Santa's hat on. "Sonia, my beloved, could you please add a fruit cake and two hot chocolates to the order list?"

I sat back down and talked to Komaeda as we waited for our order. It took a while due to how busy it was, but that was fine. It just meant I could spend more time with my love.

Soon enough our orders came and we ate. "Hajime, do you wanna try some of my fruit cake? It's pretty good." He held up his fork, a small bit of cake on it. I opened my mouth to respond, only to be shut up with Komaeda shoving the fork in my mouth. "Mmph!" I felt my cheeks heat up, it tasted super good too, I swallowed. "Nagito! Why did you do that!" I whined, still feeling embarrassed, he merely laughed in return.

After we finished eating, there was still a good 2 hours before either of us needed to go home, so for now we decided to have a bit of fun in the snow.

As we walked to the local park, which at this point was packed with children who had gotten out of school an hour or so ago, we held hands. It was so romantic, really. Komaeda hadn't gotten to have very many fond childhood memories, so I decided why not we build a snowman?

I took him through the steps, rolling up the snow, placing the balls from largest to smallest on top of eachother, and even let him place the carrot nose and top hat on it. He seemed absolutely thrilled, and had this dorky adorable smile plastered on his face. Seeing him this happy made me happy, so I decided to keep it up.

We decided to make angels in the snow for a while, we had a couple minutes left until it would get super dark. A lot of the children already went home and the park was nearly cleared out apart from the other lovey-dovey couples. I laid down in the snow with Komaeda, taking his hand and watching the sky slowly turn darker. I felt the snow still coming down on top of us, slowly covering mine and his body.

When the sun really started to set, and it finally turned 5pm, we decided to head home together. We both stood up, still holding hands, and began making our way out of the park.

We talked about small things, how college was going for the both of us, family (that was a more one sided conversation, sadly.), the date, etc. That was... until I slipped.

Since it was dark, I couldn't see that well and ended up slipping on some ice, taking Komaeda down with me. "Oh my god I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed, checking to see if he was hurt at all. He laughed, pulling me into a hug and laying back down. "The lights are really pretty too look at, aren't they Hajime? Even when my family died, my love for the Christmas holidays didn't. Not to mention the stars are also beautiful."

Even with the night being dark, I could still see the light in his eyes and his smile glowing, almost nearly as bright as the lights. "Of course, neither of them are as gorgeous as my beloved Hajime" he winked at me, making me tense up and blush. "O-oh yeah? Well, I think you're way prettier!" I blurted out.

Komaeda pulled me into a nice kiss, hugging me tightly. This truly was the magical bliss of the holidays.
